4 FROM OUR EGHS BAND & COLOR GUARD BOOSTERS Dear Blue & Gold Regiment Families, We wanted to give a huge shout out to all the parents and students that helped out yesterday at the Harvest Festival. It was a very smooth day. Nancy Ohr was very impressed with our kids and how mature they all behaved. No one was on their phones and everyone interacted with the little ones in a very positive and engaging manner. We appreciate all the support. We also wanted to give a shout out to the 12 people that volunteered to help out at the Preseason King s Game tonight. Being able to run a larger booth tonight is going to be great for us! Here are just a few reminders for this upcoming week: 1. We will be having a Rhythm & Spirit Planning Meeting on Thursday, October 11 th at 6 pm in the band room. We would really like to finalize the menu, alcohol donations, get an update on donations for Silent Auction items & student sponsored baskets, and get an update on how ticket sales are going. We would love to see you at the meeting to help us plan and make decisions on how to make this fundraiser a huge success. If you have questions, please contact Michelle Wheaton at or mwheaton2005@yahoo.com. 2. We will be having a run through with props on Thursday, October 11 th at 7pm in the stadium. If you are planning on helping with props during the competitions please plan on attending this event. We will be showing you everything that will need to be done at a competition to help get equipment on and off the field. 3. Friday, October 12 th is our Homecoming Parade. We are still in need of a few parents to help out with this event. Parents are needed at the High School at 11:00 to help kids get into uniforms and then to walk the parade route with the kids offering water when necessary. If you would like to help with this, please reply to this or sign up on Charms. 4. Friday, October 12 th is also our Homecoming Football Game more information about this will come home when Mr. Sebastian has final confirmation on all the details. 5. Saturday, October 13 th is our first Competition! Just as soon as a schedule is available we will get the information out to you. In the meantime, we are still in need of several volunteers for this day. We need help with food, props, uniforms, parade route, and color guard crew. If you are able to help out, please reply to this or sign up on Charms. This is a very busy time for our Students we appreciate all the support that you show them as well as the support that you show us. If you have any questions at all, please don t hesitate to ask. Your Booster Board
