Freshman: 1 Case of water Soph: 2 Boxes of Capri Sun Juniors: Bag/box of variety chips (not one single serving), the large bag Seniors: 2 boxes Granola Bars Packing List: Great attitude Pillow Snacks Sleeping bag/air mattress Warm rehearsal clothes Reeds/valve oil All uniform parts, shoes, socks Extra clothes Money for food (2 meals) PARENTS: CHEER FOR US!!!!! IF YOU HEAR SOMETHING YOU LIKE CLAP!! WATCH THE STAFF ON THE TRACK IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHERE TO CLAP! Friday, November 9 th (Show day!!) You are to bring a snack with you!! 5:45 a.m. Call/text your friend to make sure they are up! No, really I mean it, CALL THEM!! 6:15 a.m. Charter buses on the practice lot so we can load water, food and other supplies. 6:30 a.m. Arrive at GHS to load the bus. You should check for the weather BEFORE we leave pack the appropriate clothes. You may bring a bag on the bus with you. Remember your black socks and shoes!! 7:00 a.m. Leave for Decatur Central High (DCHS) 5251 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN You need to bring a snack with you!!! Parents are in charge. You are to rest/sleep in the way down. You can help by being mature young adults. No foul language, PDA (affection), or other deviant behavior will be permitted. BE GOOD KIDS!! 10:15 a.m. Arrive at DCHS. We are to park in the bus lot area. Remember we are guests and that it is a BIG deal for someone to open up their school for us!! Unload, use restroom and get ready for a great rehearsal! Eat your snack that you brought with you! Do not enter the school for any reason. 11:00 a.m. Rehearsal begins!!! Remember great bands REHEARSE GREAT!! 2:00 p.m. Rehearsal ends. Pack the trucks, eat lunch, get in uniform, and relax! (Boosters provide) 4:15 p.m. Leave for the Lucas Oil Stadium (LOS). Small instruments should be with you. Your case will be underneath. You will be in full uniform on your bus as you ride to LOS. Only cars/trucks with parking passes will be allowed in with the band. 4:45 p.m. Arrive at LOS parking lot Get unloaded ASAP and get ready for an AWESOME show!! 5:35 p.m. Enter tunnel EVERYONE HELPS WITH SOMETHING 5:45 p.m. Physical warm-up (Area B) All Percussion goes to separate warm-up area. 6:00 p.m. Warm-up for winds (Area B) **pit percussion go with battery to different area for warm up 6:15 p.m. All percussion will leave warm-up to go to performance area

2 6:20 p.m. Pit percussion report time 6:30 p.m. Winds warm up ends. 6:35 p.m. Band report time 6:41 p.m. We enter the field 6:45 p.m. A GREAT GOSHEN BOA!!!! HEARTS ON FIRE-MINDS ON ICE 7:00 p.m. Push things to tunnel then take formal picture. 7:20 p.m. EVERYONE helps get everything up the ramp and to the trucks. Change/load. 8:00 p.m. Load buses and travel back to DCHS 5251 Kentucky Ave, Indianapolis, IN :30 p.m. Arrive at DCHS. Find sleeping arrangements. Drum Majors will stay with staff for awards. Enter Door #27 ALL GOSHEN parents/buses/equipment trucks must park on the DCHS Band lot, NOT OUT FRONT! DCHS will be hosting a regional football game this evening. DO NOT get in their way. Kim E. and Kristy N. will have instructions where to park when we return Friday night. When we return to DCHS the guys will sleep in the band room and the girls in the auditorium. Since their musical is beginning you are not to go on the stage for any reason. Mr. Tim Cox will be in charge and we will do as we are asked. Please remember that someone opening their school to us is pretty incredible and because he is FAMILY we need to be 100% respectful and follow ALL rules/directives given by Tim. Do NOT wonder the school- stay in the music area at all times. know all of you will be awesome. 10:00 p.m. Quiet time in your areas - All showers should be done at this time. 10:00 p.m. Goshen buses should be in Indy at this time. Kristy will work with you on hotels. 11:00 p.m. Lights out/get your rest! Saturday, November 9 th If we make Semi-Finals we will have a detailed plan for Saturday. At this time we do not know any specifics. We could perform as early as 7:00 a.m. (which means we are in the lot by 5:30 a.m.!) If we do not make semi-finals we will leave from Decatur Central Saturday morning. Time TBA Awards for semi-finals will take place 5:00 p.m. We will post things on social Facebook/Band website/twitter our plans for the day. Stay tuned! ======================================================== Parent Information Tickets can be bought ahead of time if you visit musicforall.org They are a little pricey, but that is the normal rate for BOA, WGI (national) events. Still hope you can make it! You might want to ride in carpools to save money. Parking will most likely cost as well don t shoot the messenger There should be plenty of seats, but all of the 50 yd line ones may be gone by the time we perform. Since it is in BIG stadium feel free to CHEER LOUDLY! It will be a long day/night for the kids I would expect that they may not do much on Sunday but sleep something you already knew. Your kids need to bring food with them on the bus. You might want to ride in carpools to save space. We get a boost from you!! Please yell/clap/scream during the show!! You are not being rude, you actually add to the score when you cheer loudly. PLEASE come and support your children!! They perform better when you are there! Do you have a red band shirt or a show shirt? If so wear it to the show! Attendance is extremely important! Please have your child at rehearsal we can only get better if everyone is here all of the time! Thank you! The kids are doing great! Please remind them that no matter the outcome they are winners because they are working hard and getting better! That is success!
