Camp: Camp is a requirement. If you are unable to make it to camp and the practices prior please do not tryout. Camp is a vital part of the season and we will need every member of the team there. If you tryout, you are saying you are available for these dates. More details below. D. Other Sports/Extra Curricular Activities: We love for our cheerleaders to be well rounded. However, please do not tryout if you are unable to be at the games and/or practices scheduled by your coaches. Schedule doctor visits outside of practice times. Please do not plan college visits that will conflict with practices or games. Cheerleaders will not be allowed to miss practice or games for the next season sports until the season is over. (i.e. If you cheer for basketball and we make it to state) You must be willing to make the commitment to the squad a priority in your schedule! E. Winterim: All out of town requests for the January Winterim/Interim period must be approved by the coach in advance. If you cheer for Basketball and leave for winterim, you will need to find a replacement for the games and practices you will miss. Your substitute must be preapproved and be able to fill in for you stunt position. (i.e. If you are a top girl, you will need a top girl to sub for you while away)
F. Time commitment: Attendance at all practices and games is required. Cheerleading takes precedence, and Points will be assigned for absences and lateness (see Penalties, below). You are expected to attend all practices, games and pep rallies. G. Penalties: Members who do not abide by the rules will be penalized as they affect the performance of the entire squad. A Points System is utilized to track penalties. Members who abuse the rules will be replaced or not allowed to try out in the future. If you are suspended from cheering a game, you are still required to attend the game in uniform. Failure to attend a suspension game will result in an additional suspension game. Please consider the schedule carefully BEFORE you try out. H. Quitting: Please take into consideration that trying out for an MBA cheerleading team indicates that you are making a commitment to participate for the year. If you decide to quit the squad at any point past the posting of the squad selection, you will not be allowed to try out for MBA cheerleading again. IV. CHEERLEADING CAMP: All cheerleaders will attend a mandatory training camp during the summer. We are planning to attend camp July 24-27. If you are unable to attend the camp, you should not try out!
