Crazy Sock Spirit Day Success! Thank you to everyone who participated in our first community giving fundraiser of the year. Together we raised $150! Way to go! IMPORTANT Milford Board of Ed Food Policy NO FOOD, even for projects is to be brought into school and NO goodie bags can be sent home with students. There will be no exceptions to this policy. From the student handbook: The provision for all classroom lessons in art, home economics, mathematics and other subjects that use food for instructional purposes to not knowingly include offending foods when an allergic student is present School nurses will not attempt to determine whether foods brought to school are safe for an allergic child to consume. REMINDER! Save the date and join us for our annual Halloween Parade! Monday, October 31, 2016 Parade will start at 1:00 pm and take place outside. Plan to arrive early. (In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held indoors for staff and students only.) Come see your little ones in their Halloween spirit. We will host a Halloween Parade where all students can wear costumes and march to show them off. We ask that families line up in the walker drop off courtyard area. We will march around the perimeter of this courtyard; so stand in the middle to get the best picture of your child as they march by with their class. Parking will be limited, so arrive early. Parking off premise might be necessary. Please help us by not parking in bus or fire lanes. Please note: Only room parents and helpers invited by teachers are allowed into the building after the parade and must sign in with our greeter. We ask that children bring their costumes to school in a bag and be sure that costumes are easy to get into and out of on their own. No full face masks or face make up. Also please leave any little accessories or weapons (i.e. swords, shields..etc.) at home for your night time Halloween festivities. We ask that costumes please do not portray violent or graphic images. *Students will not be allowed to wear these costumes during the parade. II
