Thank all parent volunteers appreciate all the volunteers. Call time is 4:30. We are home team band only plays the National Anthem Reached out to NA band directors to play National Anthem together show community unity Saturday Veteran s Day Parade call time is 8:15 a.m. In 4 th Division. Estimate will be back between 12-12:30 p.m. Picking up at parade? Go to Point State Park. Check in the chaperones on bus if taking student from parade PMEA Jazz Tryouts at Moon Monday, November 13. Leaving on bus after school return approx. 8 p.m. Heinz Field is November 18 Time TBD November 20 AV Honors Band Tryouts If continue to win, will play through December 9 (State Championship Game at Hershey) Winter Concert November 29 will need volunteers to supervise HS students during concert Spring Band Trip, Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29 o Williamsburg/Norfolk NATO Parade o Parade of Nations in Norfolk, Virginia o Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia o Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia o Washington D.C. Looks like this fundraiser may have run it s course. Pie Sale o Sale moved this year in an effort to spread out fundraisers. o Mid-November to early December Sale Dates o Delivery before Winter Holiday Break o Watch for details from chairs Amy Moore and Sheila Baldauff. o Each student should aim to sell a minimum of 5 pies or make an equivalent $20 donation in lieu of selling. 2018 Spring Fundraisers o Pierogi Sale, January Sale Dates o Table 86 Hines Ward Fundraiser, Thursday, January 11, 2018 o Emporio Meatballs for All Fundraiser, TBD o 2018 Spring Sports and Music Raffle Scheduled for January and/or February. Has to be wrapped up before Spring Trip to calculate benefit. Previous raffle included U2 concert tickets, Pens tickets, and cash. Please consider donating concert tickets, opening day or other Pirates tickets, Penguins tickets, etc. o Rewards Program Keep collecting your Cranberry Chick-fil-A receipts and sending them into the Band Box! Receipts from the new Chick-fil-A in Pine Township are now also valid, since it is under the same ownership. Due to the magnificent success of the Chick-fil-A Food Credit Rewards Program, we have earned $794.14 in free food to date. Due to construction, unable to use credit for Senior Night or Winter Concert. Will be used at a later date. Volunteers o Utilize SignUp.com to recruit and manage volunteers. o Openings communicated via email and on the band website. Playoff Games o May collect hand and foot warmers again to distribute in cold weather. Watch for emails. o Band responsible for some lunchtime ticket sales if they proceed in playoffs. Watch emails for volunteer needs. Matt Graff Memorial Scholarship o Senior band students are being offered a wonderful scholarship opportunity through the Matt Graf Memorial Scholarship. Applications are due by November 15, 2017. Details available on the band website. Acknowledgements o Thanks to our dedicated chairs and our valuable volunteers for the countless hours. o We appreciate all of your efforts to support this amazing group of students and staff and all of the time that you give to the band! o Thanks, especially, to Concessions and Candy Stand for record sales this season!
