(If ordered after this date, the bodysuit cannot be guaranteed to be available for Game 1) Some 2 nd hand bodysuits may also become available for sale, although this is not guaranteed. These may also be available for purchase on Registration Day. Cheques payable to: Hunter Valley Grammar School Netball Club

Please find below a breakdown of the HVGS Netball Fees: At the 1998 HVGS Netball Club Annual General Meeting a decision was made to PAY the students to umpire for our Club. These girls MUST attend 3-4 umpires training sessions (to start in February after school) and subsequently they will be rostered to umpire weekly for any Hunter Valley Grammar School team. This has many benefits namely: - Eliminating pressure on players to umpire when they desperately do not want to, - Providing leadership and qualification for those who enjoy umpiring, - Increasing the standard of Hunter Valley Grammar School umpires. - However, if the pool of volunteer umpires is insufficient to meet the needs of the club other team players will be called upon to fill umpiring gaps. - Each team faces up to $50 fine for not fulfilling this umpiring duty In order to achieve this payment system each player from Junior and Senior teams will be asked to contribute $55 umpires fee and Net-Set-Go to pay $27. This is a much more efficient method of payment rather than collecting money every match. If this is a concern please do not withhold your daughter s registration but contact me so we can discuss the matter further. Team / Age Group MNA Fee HVGS Club Fee Umpiring Fee TOTAL (per player) Net Set Go (5-10yrs) $88 $27 $155 $40 per player Junior (11-17yrs) $100 $55 $195 or Senior (18yrs +) $130 $55 $225 $80 per family (3 or more players) Non-player $50 n/a n/a $50 Net Set Go: A Netball program run by Maitland Netball Association to build skills for beginners. Run by Mrs Cullen and Ms Rauch. Some older teams will play modified games. Birth Dates Include: 01.01.1998 Senior: Teams are graded according to ability and play participate in full MNA competition. Training: Team Structures: Training sessions are held after school, one afternoon a week. The preferred afternoons will depend on the availability of the coach and where possible, in consultation with the players and parents. These days will be confirmed when coaching staff are finalised. 4 8yrs NetSetGo! Skills Program. Training session once a week in a lunch hour as well as a training session on Saturdays 9-10am @ Maitland Netball Courts. 8 10yrs Still under the umbrella of NetSetGo!, students now play games against other teams. As this is a NSW Netball initiative, Maitland Netball is revising whether or not players younger than 10 will compete in competitions. Age is considered first, and where possible friendship groups and playing experience/ability will be taken into consideration. Players NOT in the skills program, wear official netball bodysuit when playing modified games. 11yrs 17yrs Coaches: Coaching Clinic: Sponsors: 2015 will involve a selection system where grading will be conducted for those players wanting to be considered for the top seeded teams (provided enough girls register for more than one team.) TRIAL DAYS ARE SET DOWN FOR Tuesday 10th February and Thursday 12 th February (3.15pm). The aim is to grade the teams as accurately as possible. INDEPENDENT selectors will be involved in this process. All other teams will be based on previous selection criteria i.e. age, experience/ability and friendship groups. The reason for this initiative is to best meet the needs of our students is the student s purpose for playing to be in the best team and play at the highest possible level, or more for social reasons? More than ever, we are asking for members of the HVGS community to coach teams for the 2015 season. All coaches will be expected to attend a HVGS Coaches Meeting with the Director of Sport and Teacher in Charge. Any parents or senior students interested in coaching or assisting with coaching/managing a team are asked to complete the relevant section below. Assistant Coaches may also work with teams and these will comprise of students from Year 10 Year 12. There is a compulsory coaching clinic hosted by Mrs Cullen for all coaches and assistant coaches. All coaches and interested parents are welcome to attend. Further details will be published at a later stage. (12 th March 3:15-4pm) We would like to invite parents or business houses, which would like to be a sponsor in 2015 to complete the relevant section on the HVGS registration forms. Sponsorship money is used to assist with the cost of drink bottles, trophies, ongoing costs, training gear, etc. Jeanine Cullen Teacher in Charge Netball Ross Murdoch Director of Sport
