REPORT FROM PRELIMINARY INSPECTION BEFORE THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP2005 LEVERKUSEN 21 ST JUNE 25 TH JUNE 2005 The preliminary site inspection was carrying out the 4 th of April 2005 by ECVD Technical Officer Toralv Thorkildsen. The German Federation was represented with Frank-Thomas Hartleb, and the Local Organiser (LOC) with Jörg Frischmann and Thomas Geerts. In the morning at 9:00 we had a meeting lasting 3 hours in Ramada Hotel, handling the items in the agenda not dealing with accommodation or the venue. We had also an inspection of Ramada hotel that will be the players hotel. After this meeting we went to the venue for inspection of the venue and a meeting of 1 hour with Mr. Uwe Rosendal from Sportpark Leverkusen. After lunch we went for inspection to Lindner Hotel opposite the venue. All officials will be accommodated in this hotel. The inspection was finished with an inspection in the training hall and a short meeting summing up status and the coming work. Items listed below were subject area for the inspection: 1. Entry forms to/from participating teams a. Team entry b. Team composition (Point 6.b) i. The entry forms from the teams will be returned before the 15 th of May 2005 together with the team composition form. c. Officials i. ECVD Officers ii. Referees iii. After nomination, the officials will receive an entry form (Technical handbook section 0413). This form must be return before the 15 th of May 2005. d. Guests i. LOC will make an information packet with general information + board and lodging cost for guests. 2. Entry fees a. Invoice will be sent from the organiser after received the team entry forms. i. No pay no play 3. Accreditation on arrival a. Accreditation centre in Ramada Hotel for all. b. Final team composition must be verified on arrival of the teams c. ID cards i. 4. ECVD Sport Department will hold a meeting on the 19 th of June in order to make plans for developing Euro League for club teams. a. LOC will evaluate the possibility to offer board and lodging for a group of 7 persons from the 18 th of June 5. Competition a. Pools i. The drawing of pools was done by Jörg Frischmann (JF) from LOC, assisted by ECVD Technical Officer Toralv Thorkildsen (TT). b. Time schedule i. The principles were discussed, and JF will prepare a draft. c. All star team i. TT will prepare a form for nomination of best players in the matches. LOC will prepare awards for 6 best players in both men and woman Championship. 6. Tournament handbook; Technical handbook section 0106 7.
