The league will shoot on Sundays at 5:00 pm. If you cannot shoot on any given Sunday, you can shoot during the week to make up your score. The league will officially start 10/15/17, but we will shoot a warm-up round on 10/8/17 so handicaps can be calculated for all shooters and provide help for anyone not familiar with this format. The league will run six weeks, 10/15/17 to 11/19/17. Teams will be made up evenly using the handicaps. The number of teams will depend on the number of shooters who sign up. If you are unable to come on The Aerie Page 2
10/8 but want to shoot in the league, please shoot on your own and email or text your score to Tony Parks at 412-953-2394 or tparks@ccis-llc.com before 10/10/17. Non-members are welcome to shoot in the league as long as all members can be accommodated first. We will be shooting the blue/white targets. Below is the scoring for these targets. For our league, we will score the X ring as 6, the white ring 5 and so on. We will not keep X count. You shoot 12 ends of five arrows with a maximum score per arrow of six. If anyone needs help scoring, please contact Tony Parks. JOAD starts back up on Saturday, November 4 th and will run through December. Then starting in January practice will shift to Monday nights. The lanes are looking good. Thanks for keeping up with the cutting. o Please review the shooting schedule and try to cut prior to the shoots. o The red tractor is running. o The Cub Cadet is running but uses oil. So please check the oil before using. The battery is also failing. So remember to put the charger on it. o Please refrain from using the 4 wheel drive tractor. It is vital for 3D set-up. Please contact Bruce to make arrangements for a make-up if you need one. Working a tournament is a great way to make-up a work assignment! Besides, it s great fun and a great opportunity to connect with your fellow archers! The men s restroom still needs to be painted and the benches need to be sealed. The gate has been found opened on a couple of occasions. Please be sure to close and lock the gate. Anyone having pictures from tournaments or hunts please forward copies to me for inclusion in the newsletter. We appreciate the efforts that have been made to conserve heating oil like closing doors. The club is looking for a fireplace insert to further improve our heating cost savings. Anyone who may have information on how we can attain one please let the Board know. General Information Watch for soft bails on the field range and let us know where repairs need to be made. As you are progressing around the field range, particularly behind the club house, watch for people. Surveyors have been working close by. Be sure to review the various shoot flyers and other relevant information that is posted on the bulletin boards. The Aerie Page 3
