Little League Fields property 7 acres to City as part of Walter Fuller Park. 10 Year project. City making major improvements. Now 140 ACRE PARK. TAJ MAHAL of Tyrone Blvd. Grand Opening with Mayor Kriseman. 3301 Tyrone. Northwest Collision Center AZALEA MIDDLE SCHOOL renovations complete and all portable buildings removed. WF Park ~ JTCA Gift 5 Magnolia Trees + supervise 2 Magnolia Trees by Florida Native Plant Society, and Jacaranda by Carlson family. Initiate removal of dying trees and 3 new Live Oaks in median of Dog Park parking lot. City Forestry trim of Cathedral Oak and removing two nearby diseased trees. Cathedral Oak Tree on National Register of Live Oaks. 80 th Street and 34 th Ave N. Light in park behind Oak Trees by Duke Energy. 80 th Street and 34 th Ave N. NSSP ~ Feature on ABC TV NSSP constantly active 34 Scouts wearing shirts. JTCA coach Old Northeast neighbors and Andrew Orr creating ONE NSSP. 23 Scouts already! Chief of Police and Jungle Terrace create MIDTOWN MIRACLES Martial Arts program to shift culture. 35 regular boys and girls in 4 months! POLICE and CODES tend to the few areas needed. LETTERS of Support for City grant requests, TAASCO Teens Grant. Pinellas Trail IMPROVEMENTS continued all of 2016 with MANY Volunteers + Hours. Adopt A Mile Agreement RENEWED for 2 years. Completed 9 years of Trail Improvements! Additional flowering plants in Neighborhood now over 200! 2 NEW Oak Trees on TRAIL, organized by JTCA, paid by Greg Descent, NW Collision. 25 TAASCO Teens JT lead Teens in major Improve Trail. CAREFEST participate with City and Volunteers at Volunteers Garden in WFP. GRANT City - $500 2 pallets mini pine bark nuggets (130 bags) + food and drink 22 Artists creating art on 21 pillars and 9 walls beneath Tyrone Overpass and along Trail. New Sidwalks and Crossings at 80 th Street and 28 th Ave. N. New Sidewalks and Crossings at Park Street and 28 th Ave N, with flashing yellow lights. Dog Bath in Dog Park Solar Charging Station in Dog Park for electronic devices Pet watering fountain by Soccer Center Name Change: to Walter Fuller Baseball Center IN-the-PROCESS: Ceramic MURAL on wall beneath Tyrone Overpass. Optimize 267 Palm Trees trim, deboot, etc. 16 Artists creating art on pillars and walls beneath Tyrone Overpass. Each pillar: $50 Grant for materials. New Sidwalks and Crossings at 71 st Street and 30 th Ave N. New Sidewalks and Crossings at 34 th Ave N and 78 th Street N. IN-the-PROCESS: MURAL on wall along Trail + Pillar Art beneath Tyrone Overpass. Elected 2 nd V.P. plus Chair of Public Safety Committee. CONA Leadership Training ~ sponsored Lauren Sanders, JTCA Secretary Dr. Roland Martens to CONA meetings for JTCA! HALL of HONORS Awards to 8 Outstanding Individuals. COBB MOVIE THEATERS Ground Breaking New Bridge to Pinellas Trail Mural outreach BIKE PATH 5 year process nearing completion Saved 23 Oak Trees. Reduction in number of SIGNS. Safety GPS MARKERS in and around Park. 5 years persistent Board advocacy for only park in St. Pete as pilot program. City Lot paved and Bike Path at Tyrone Blvd. and 74 th St. next to Tiger Auto. 1 ½ years determined effort by Board. Jungle Lake Cleanup with City Staff in Boat. Numerous Park, Sidewalk and Street improvements. See Newsletters. SIX Streets Paved in neighborhood ANVIL Street paved moved up a year. POLICE and CODES tend to the few areas needed. POLICE PREVENTION by VISIBLE PARKING DEMOLITION of derelict house along Pinellas Trail. NEW Parking Control Signs on 26 th Ave, 78 th St, plus 4 parking places at Dog Park. Pinellas Trail IMPROVEMENTS continued all of 2015 with MANY Volunteers + Hours. Adopt A Mile Agreement RENEWED for 2 years. Planted 5 Oak Trees on Pinellas Trail doing well. JTCA selected by KEEP PINELLAS BEAUTIFUL for 2015 LEADERSHIP AWARD. Additional flowering plants in Neighborhood now over 200! Assist Azalea Middle School with plants and mulch grants. TASCO Teens participate with 50 teens in 4 groups. Mulch 4 gardens + Improve Trail. CAREFEST participate with City & Church group on Pinellas Trail + Stonehenge Park. GRANT from City - $500 GRANT to Childs Park Rattlers Football Won District Championship - $350 Advocated for Mr. Bill Edwards to support. Donated $5,000.00 GRANT Azalea Mid School $528.70 (Volunteer Garden 32 bags mulch) GRANT Walter Fuller Baseball Center $ 280 plants and design. GRANT for Postage Stamp Park on 34 th Ave and Park Street. NEW Pickleball Courts 2 at Tennis Courts.
