Snowbird Major Arizona and San Diego Regions March 21-22, 2015 Chuckwalla Valley Raceway Sanction #15-M-3558-S SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FREE ENTRY GIVEAWAY: A free entry will be awarded to one driver registering for the event 14 days prior to the weekend. Driver name will be drawn at the event party or other designated time. U.S. Majors Tour Express Registration: A dedicated line will be available for drivers holding a 2015 U.S. Majors Tour Series Registration Card. U.S. Majors Tour Express Tech will also be available in the express line for those cardholders that have a valid Annual Tech, 2015 Helmet sticker and no notations in their logbook. If eligible, you will only need to bring your logbook to Registration to receive your event tech sticker. REGISTRATION: Drivers can register for the race online at azscca.motorsportsreg.com. Drivers without internet access may request a paper entry form and mail it with their entry fees to the Chief Registrar: Lois Petersen, 3153 E. Gable Circle, Mesa, AZ, 85204 Make checks payable to Arizona Region, SCCA. A fee in the amount of $25, will be charged for any check returned by the bank. A full refund will be made if the entry is withdrawn prior to receiving a Tech sticker. If you pre-enter and are a no show, your check will be destroyed and any credit card payments will be credited back to your card. If you sign in at registration and do not go thru, or pass, Tech, you must notify the Chief of Registration, BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE TRACK, in order to receive your refund. Phone/fax entries will not be accepted. At-event Registration will be held in tower building located on the first floor. Do not mail entries by any method that requires a signature upon delivery. ENTRY FEES: Entry fee for the two-day weekend is $475. Each SRF and FE entry will be charged an additional $20.00 compliance fee per entry for the weekend. If you wish to double-dip and run one car in two classes, the fee will be an additional $235. ENTRY FEE PAYMENT: Drivers who complete their registration online, via the azscca.motorsportsreg.com website, will be asked for a credit card, at the time of registration. Credit cards will not be charged until the day after the event. You may change the format of payment at that time. We accept check, credit card or cash. If bringing cash we ask you have the correct change. Fees will be refunded ONLY if a car does not pass technical inspection or it does not put a wheel on the track, Drivers must notify registration before leaving the track DRIVERS Must present their valid: SCCA Membership & SCCA Photo I.D. Competition License CREW must present their valid: SCCA Membership HOT PIT PASSES: No Hot Pit passes will be issued after registration closes. AWARDS: Trophies for all races will be awarded in accordance with the GCR. Trophies will be presented at the event. Major s points will be awarded in accordance with the GCR. DECALS: A U.S. Majors Tour decal must be displayed on both sides of all competition vehicles. Competition vehicles must also display the official SafeRacer SCCA Club Racing decal per GCR section 9.3.29.C.

DRIVERS MEETING: Impound All will be given at the end of each of the first Qualifying sessions on Saturday, for all groups, to conduct a drivers meeting for each group. Impound will be in the Tech Area. Look for the signs for proper direction. PREFERRED NUMBERS: Every effort will be made to honor Conference Preferred Numbers until 14 days prior to the event. Due to the make-up of the run groups, however, this may not be possible in all situations. If two drivers holding the same Preferred Number request that number for the same run group, the number will be assigned to the driver with the earliest request. IMPOUND: Saturday Timed races: The top three competitors in each class shall report to impound immediately following the completion of their race. Trophy presentations and photos will occur in the Victory Circle area near impound following the race. Sunday Distance Races: The top three competitors in each class shall report to impound immediately following completion of their race, all other competitors are strongly encouraged to attend the podium festivities following their race. (Impound of all cars is encouraged following Sunday s races.) Victory celebrations and award ceremony will be conducted in the Victory Circle area near impound following Sunday s races. U.S. Majors Tour door prizes will be awarded after each group s podium ceremonies, you must be present to win. RACE LENGTH: Saturday races will be 30 minutes (15 lap max.) Sunday races will be 20 laps (45 min max.)** RESULTS: Live timing will be available during the event. SPEC MIATA COMPLIANCE: At the direction of the Class Compliance Chief at post-race inspection, Spec Miata participants may be directed to remove parts, specific but not limited to the cylinder head, for disassembly and/or inspection. Competitors are responsible for performing required disassembly and/or reassembly of their car, as well as any resulting expenses incurred. VICTORY LAPS: Winners of all races will receive a checkered flag. However, for Sunday races only, following the cool down lap, the winner of each class should proceed immediately to pit central where they will receive a checkered flag and proceed on course for a single Victory Lap. Drivers need not wear their helmet or gloves during the victory lap, passengers are permitted in accordance with GCR 6.11.7. Drivers shall maintain a safe speed and be wary of safety vehicles that may be on course. TECH: All drivers without a current year helmet sticker must present all driver gear as required by the GCR, vehicle logbook, and completed tech card to Tech. If your car requires an annual tech you must also bring the car to Tech. EXPRESS TECH: Drivers with both a current annual tech and a current year helmet sticker may bring just their vehicle log book and completed tech card to get their event stickers. SCALES: Will be available at Tech Friday 10:00 am 4:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am 10:00 am. Scales may be available for other participants during race impound, but priority will be given to impounded cars. Scales may be made available at other times at the discretion of the Chief of Tech. EVENT SCHEDULE/RUN GROUPS: The event schedule or run groups may only be changed at the discretion of the Series Chief Steward, with concurrence by the Event Chair, depending on pre-race entry counts or as needed to accommodate situations that may be encountered during the event. If changes are made prior to the start of the event, as much notice as possible will be given to all affected competitors. The schedule as published is for planning purposes only. Actual session start times may deviate from the published schedule based on actual event progression. Listen to the PA system and pay attention to what is happening on track. GRID: Starting positions for the Saturday race will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during the preceding qualifying session(s). Starting positions for the Sunday race will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during each of the preceding qualifying session(s) and their fastest lap during the Saturday race. Cars arriving at the grid after their group has been dispatched on

track may, at the discretion of the Operating Steward, be held at pit out and released at the end of the pack after the field has completed the pace lap. QUALIFYING: Per the 2015 GCR, all Majors participants must qualify within 115% of the recognized lap record in his/her class in order to be allowed to start the race. The Series Chief Steward may waive this requirement and may allow nonqualifiers to grid behind qualifiers. Note: this is a new venue and new configuration the first event will be held a month prior to the Major and times will be added to this chart at that time. SPLIT STARTS: The Chief Steward will consider requests for split starts received by 5:00pm Friday March 20, 2015. TIMED SESSIONS: The clock will continue to run during all flag conditions with the exception of the red flag. RADIO FREQUENCIES: Arizona Region radio frequencies will be available in registration. DISABLED CARS: Disabled or damaged cars may be removed from the course and delivered to a central location. If the car has sustained body/chassis damage it will be released to the driver/crew after tech has made appropriate notations in the vehicle log book. Cars disabled due to a mechanical failure will be released to the driver/crew immediately. If the car requires wrecker support to return to its paddock location, there may be a delay depending on the availability of wreckers or flat tows. CLOTHING: Closed toed shoes are required on the grid and over the wall on pit lane. Crew members on pit lane must display their event credentials at all times while on pit lane. PIT LANE: Pit lane speed shall not exceed 15 mph. Violators may be penalized. PACE/SAFETY CAR: In addition to GCR 6.6.2., the field shall follow the PACE/SAFETY car as long as its emergency lights are flashing, even if it varies from the normal race course. In the event a full course yellow results in dispatch of the safety car, the safety car will enter the racing surface at pit out. RESULTS: Live timing will be available during the event. Unless otherwise announced, live timing will be available via the Race Monitor App available for iphone and Android phones. Qualifying, provisional and final results will be posted at the base of the Timing and Scoring Tower. Drivers may obtain a copy of the final results from Timing & Scoring. Additionally, final results will be posted to the region s and SCCA Majors websites no later than 7 days following the completion of the eve. DATA ACQUISITION: Majors staff and their delegates may install data acquisition equipment in a competitor s car. This program is to assist the CRB in performance balancing. If selected, participation is not optional and is not protestable. The data collected will not be used for compliance purposes. LAST LAP INDICATOR: When possible, a waving white flag will be displayed at start/finish to indicate the last lap has begun.

SOCIAL EVENT: There will be a worker/competitor dinner/party at the conclusion of activities on Saturday. PADDOCK: Parking regulations are hereby incorporated in these regulations by reference. Failure to follow the direction of the Paddock Marshal or her/his designate regarding paddock parking or activities may result in expulsion from the facilities. COURSE: Chuckwalla Valley Raceway Clockwise is 2.68 miles in length. PROVISIONS: You may enter the paddock Thursday after 3:00pm, if you arrive earlier than 3:00pm you will be placed in a staging line until 3:00pm. Camping is allowed in the paddock on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Water and electricity are NOT available in the paddock. A charge for camping may be assessed by the track. GENERAL RULES:. 1. Enter main gate and proceed to paddock. All paddock parking will be assigned by Arizona/San Diego Region personnel as you enter the paddock.. 2. The paddock is a naturally hazardous place. Please be mindful of all traffic. All pets must be on a leash at all times. To operate all motorized vehicles you must hold a state motor vehicle license. Skateboards, roller blades, or skates are not allowed inside the facility. Bicycles are allowed, but we suggest that all children wear a helmet while riding. We ask that you keep in mind that these rules are in place ensure everyone s safety and the safety of the event. 3. Entrants and drivers are responsible for damage to the pit and paddock area, such as improper disposal of used lubricants, asphalt damage from canopies, jack stand indentations, and so on. Jack stands must be used with a base to avoid sinking into the pavement. 4. Paddock Traffic. At CVR, the Grid is located adjacent to the timing and scoring building. 5. It is RECOMMENDED that long sleeve cotton shirts, long pants, and closed toe shoes be worn in the Grid and hot Pits. 6. Except for those 16 and 17 year olds properly credentialed as "Minor Participants", NO MINOR CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED IN THE HOT PITS. Entrants and drivers are responsible for the conduct of their crews, minor children, guests, and pets (which must be kept on a leash). 7. No one is allowed in the hot pit during race starts or restarts. Only one member of the crew is allowed at the trackside pit wall to signal. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO STAND OR SIT on the pit walls or on the barrels.
