Targa NZ 2018 Tour SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS (TOUR) Part 2 TARGA TOUR PRINCIPALS & INTENT The Tour is designed for people who have a special road legal car they do not want to fit with full MSNZ safety equipment but want to experience driving their car following a predetermined route in an exciting non-competitive atmosphere. Cars with MSNZ approved roll cages are only accepted at the discretion of the Organisers. Management: The Tour is not a race. All cars travel in convoy on the route and their pace is governed by an experienced Tour Leader, with a Tour Follower vehicle. Additional Mid-Point officials may be included as required. No overtaking is permitted on the closed road sections. A Road Book is provided to aid with navigation on the event which also contains a Slippery Surface (yellow & red) and an OK (green) sign. Speeding and Accidents will not be tolerated and will result in exclusion. Page 1

JURISDICTION This event is a Tarmac Rally Tour with Foreign Participation, promoted by Targa (Promotions) NZ Ltd on behalf of Club Targa Inc and will take place from Tuesday 23 rd October to Saturday 27 th October in the Southland and Central Otago districts. The Tour will be held under these Supplementary Regulations and the Targa Tour Standing Articles. The MotorSport NZ Permit Number is: ClubSport Advanced 180467 2. THE EVENT Targa NZ 2018 Tour is a five (5) day Tarmac Tour event. 3.1 Venue: Targa NZ 2018 starts in Invercargill and travels through the Southland and Central Otago districts. There are 30 stages in total. This is broken down to 6 stages a day for Legs 1, 2 and 4, 8 for Leg 3, and 4 for Leg 5. Page 2
Service stops are as follows: Leg 1 - Gore and Balclutha. Leg 2 - Milton and Mosgiel. Leg 3 - Hampden and Oamaru. Leg 4 - Mosgiel, Milton, Lawrence and Ettrick Leg 5 - Queenstown and Cromwell 3.2 Length: Comprises of approx. 621.63kms of special stages and 1836.89kms of touring. 3.3 Leg One Tuesday 23 rd October: First Car starts from Invercargill at 7:10am and finishes at 6.15pm in Invercargill. 3.4 Leg Two Wednesday 24 th October: First Car starts from Invercargill at 7:10am and finishes at 5:15pm in Dunedin. 3.5 Leg Three Thursday 25 th October: First Car starts from Dunedin at 7:30am and finishes at 4:20pm in Dunedin. 3.6 Leg Four Friday 26 th October: First Car starts from Dunedin at 8:10am and finishes at 7:10pm in Queenstown. 3.7 Leg Five Saturday 27 th October: First Car starts from Queenstown at 8:50am and finishes at 4:45pm in Queenstown. 4. ENTRIES: 4.1 Entry Fees Standard until 30/06/2018 From 01/07/2018 Medical Levy Trackit Tour $4790 $4990 $490 $100 All listed fees are plus GST. The compulsory Medical Levy and Trackit Fee are payable in addition to the Entry Fee. 4.2 Entry opening: Entries open on publication of these Supplementary Regulations and close at the conclusion of Documentation on Monday 22 nd October 2018. 4.3 Entry Acceptance: Entries shall be made online via the website www.targa.nz and to be deemed valid must be complete in all details and the appropriate fees paid. Acceptance will be at the Organising Committees discretion. Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with the prescribed provisions of the National Sporting Code. Supplementary Regulations Part 2 (Acceptance of Entry) will be available by Monday 8 th October. 5. LICENCE REQUIREMENTS: Refer to the Standing Articles governing the 2018 Targa NZ Tour, Article 3. 6. VEHICLE COMPLIANCE: All vehicles shall at all times comply with and display the NZ NZTA warrant of fitness and registration requirements. Refer to the Standing Articles Governing the 2018 Targa NZ Tour, Article 6. Head lamps/driving lights must be on during the closed road sections. 6.1 Targa Tour vehicles will be divided into the following categories: Open Class Tour Limited Class Tour Refer to section 5 of the Tour Standing Articles. 7. TRACKIT: Trackit units shall be installed as per the Standing Articles Governing the 2018 Targa NZ Tour, Article 7.3. Trackit units are available for lease from the Targa office. 8. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: All vehicles shall have safety equipment as per the Standing Articles Governing the 2018 Targa NZ Tour, Article 7.2. 9. DAILY BRIEFINGS: These are compulsory and will be held each morning by the Tour Leader. Failure to attend these briefings will result in exclusion from the event. 10.
