INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (See Illustration Installation Drawing) Overall dimension for installation is 30 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 10 feet tall area. The ceiling must be 10 feet high to install the pulley system. If it s less than 10 feet, one set of guide rods will have to be cut to length to install system. (See picture below) FOR MODEL 922184, TRIPLEX PULLEY If ceiling is 10, 11 or 12, use 56 rods. If ceiling is 9, use 44 rods top level and 56 rods for the lower level. 9 FT CEILING 7 10 FT CEILING 11 FT CEILING 19 12 FT CEILING 31 CUT TO 44 LT 56 57 57 Make sure that you have the appropriate pieces of hardware and tools to install the pulley system. You will need the following to assemble/ install the pulley system. Hardware for attaching the pulley boards to the wall, floor and ceiling is not supplied as hardware required will vary according to the structure of your facility. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Before beginning to install the pulley system, ensure that the location selected to set up the pulley system has appropriate structural stability. The pulley boards will need to be secured to a structurally sound member in the wall and ceiling. Standard wall studs are acceptable and do not require any extra reinforcement. The floorboard, wallboard, and ceiling board have been pre-drilled for two lag bolts. Remove from parts kit: four Phillips Head Bolts, and fasten into floorboard as shown here. LT. FRONT 1B RT. FRONT Make sure you have the appropriate pieces of hardware and tools to install the pulley system. You will need the following to assemble/install the pulley system. Hardware for attaching the pulley boards to the wall and floor (not supplied, as hardware required will vary according to the structure of your facility). Level Drill with appropriate bits for lead holes Pliers Hex head socket set Tape measure Hacksaw (if any height modification is necessary) 1A 1A 1. From the bottom of floorboard, screw in four Phillips Head Bolts at Position 1A. 2. Place the floorboard on the floor flush against the wall. Position floorboard so pulley is opposite wall. Rotate pulley as needed so it is perpendicular to wall and metal guide tab on pulley holder is away from wall (see Figure 1 on page 4). 3. Locate the weight holder and thread it into the baseboard at Position 1B. 4. Place the weight plates on the weight holder. 5. Place four guide rods onto the inserted Phillips Head Bolts in the floorboard. 6. Slip the weight slide over and down the guide rods so that the weight slide rests against the floorboard. Be sure metal guide tab on pulley holder is facing away from the wall (see Figure 1 on page 4). 12. Tighten both set screws on the collar. 13. Repeat steps 10-12 for the second side. 14. Place upper wallboard with pulleys over top four guide rods. 15. Make sure upper wallboard is level and lock into place by tightening both set screws in each collar. 16. Using hardware appropriate for your installation, secure upper wallboard to a stud in wall using holes in top and bottom of wallboard. 17. Line up ceiling board in front of the upper wallboard and parallel to the wall. Distance from wall should not exceed 18 inches. 18. Using hardware appropriate for your installation, secure ceiling board to ceiling joist using holes in top and bottom of ceiling board. 7. Place the lower wallboard with pulleys over the four guide rods. 8. Make sure wallboard is level and lock in place by tightening both set screws in each collar. 9. Using hardware appropriate for your installation, secure lower wallboard to stud in wall using holes in top and bottom of wallboard. 10. Slide one of the remaining weight slides over two of the remaining guide rods. 11. Place the weight slide and rods on the lower wallboard. Be sure metal guide tab on pulley holder is facing away from the wall. 19. Using hardware appropriate for your installation, secure floorboard using holes in each side of floorboard. 20. Rotate the top pulleys of the lower wallboard and ceiling board as needed so they are perpendicular to wall and the metal guide tabs are facing away from the wall (see Figure 1 on page 4). 21. Rotate pulleys directly below top pulleys on the lower wallboard as needed so they are positioned at a 45º angle with the metal guide tab on the pulley holder facing towards the weight holder. 22. Rotate top pulleys on upper wallboard as needed so they are perpendicular to the wall and the metal guide tab is facing towards the wall. 4

THREADING THE ROPE Figure 2 A C END HERE THREAD ROPE THROUGH FLAT BAR IN TRIPLEX SLIDE AND SECURE (C) START HERE THREAD ROPE THRU PULLEYS 1. Remove three weights from the storage holder and slip onto the weight slide to keep slide in place. This will provide resistance to movement while threading rope through pulleys. 2. Thread the rope through the pulleys starting with pulley (A) - up, over and down to pulley - (B), down and under and up to flat bar in Triplex Slide (C). Tie a knot in the rope to secure it to the flat bar (C). B 6

From end of rope, slide nylon stopper on rope until it rests against pulley on wallboard. 2. Pull rope until taught, tie knot on the top of the nylon stopper so rope threaded through pulleys remains taught. 3. Thread the clip on the rope. 4. Slip the rope through hook of the swivel. 5. Slip the rope through the second hole of the clip. 6. Tie a knot at the end of the rope. 7
THREADING THE TOP HANDLE Figure 4 Follow the illustration to thread top handle to rope, then follow directions to thread the rope. a) b) c) d) e) Parts a) Pulley Handle b) Swivel Hook c) Clip d) Nylon Stopper e) Rope 1 2 3 4 5 6 1. From end of rope, slide the nylon stopper up rope 24 inches and tie a knot behind the stopper. 2. Thread clip on the rope. 3. Slip the rope through the hook of the swivel. 4. Thread the rope through the second hole of the clip. 5. Tie a knot in the end of the rope after the clip. 6. At this point the handle is complete. Use other end of the rope to thread through the pulleys (see figure 5 on page 9). Once the rope has been threaded, attach the 2nd handle (see figure 6 on page 10). 8
THREADING THE ROPE Figure 5 A START HERE THREAD ROPE THRU PULLEYS B D 1. Remove three weights from the storage holder and slip onto the weight slide to keep slide in place. This will provide resistance to movement while threading rope through pulleys. C 2. Thread the rope through the pulleys starting with pulley (A) up, over and down to pulley (B), through the top of pulley (B) frame, out the bottom of pulley (B) frame and down to pulley (C). Down and under (C), up and over pulley (D), down and under pulley (E). The handle with clip and nylon stopper should remain at top pulley. 3. When the rope is threaded through pulley (E), see Figure 6 (next page) to attach 2nd handle. END HERE E 9
ATTACHING THE BOTTOM HANDLE Figure 6 Follow the illustration to attach bottom pulley. a) b) c) d) e) Parts a) Pulley Handle b) Swivel Hook c) Clip d) Nylon Stopper e) Rope 1 2 3 4 5 6 1.
