HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and stewards. SHOW RULES 1 ENTRIES CLOSE 1 st August. Late & on the day entries charged at 2.00 extra per class. 2 No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee enclosed. Phone entries will NOT be accepted. 3 Entry fees cannot be refunded without a Vet or Doctor s certificate. 4 The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or amend the schedule. 5 Suffolk Riding Club shall not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident to any person, horse or property howsoever caused in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the Suffolk Riding Club or any person acting on their behalf against any legal action arising from such an incident. 6 The judge s decision is final. Any objections must be in writing to the Show Secretary within 30 mins of the cause & be accompanied by a deposit of 10.00 refundable only if the objection is sustained. 7 When mounted, riders MUST wear protective headgear PAS015, ASTM F1163, SNELL E2001/16 with the BSI kite mark, which has a retaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points and securely fastened as BRC Standard Rule Book. 8 We recommend that Riders wear BACK PROTECTORS in all classes. 9 Show Jumping Classes will be judged according to the rules laid down by the Pony Club. 10 Correct dress must be worn in the rings and whilst walking the course. 11 No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, leasee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any competitions without taking adequate precautions to ensure that other members of the public are not put at risk of injury. Stallions and Colts may not be ridden or led by children under 14 years. 12 Any horse / pony which might kick, MUST wear a Red Ribbon on its tail. 13 All horses / ponies MUST be 4 years old or over to compete in the ridden classes. 14 Children s age to be taken as at date of show. 15 No trotting or Cantering in public areas - only in working in arenas. Tethering is not allowed. 16 Stirrups MUST be run up or crossed over the saddle when the rider is dismounted. 17 Bicycles, Scooters, Ball Games etc. are not allowed on this show ground. Spectators with Umbrellas, Prams/Buggies/Push-chairs must take extreme care & keep them well away from the Horses/Ponies. 18 Class 26, riders NOT to have ridden off the lead rein at shows this year and /or in previous years. Parent /guardian may walk beside for moral support. 19 Lead reins must not be attached to the bit in ridden classes. 20 Schooling whips are not allowed in any classes - except the Dressage. 21 Mountain & Moorland ponies entering other classes will be accepted un-plaited.
