RANDWICK NETBALL ASSOCIATION Annual Report 2016 2017 2017 Metro League Division 2 Premiers 1 P a g e
We had a very successful 2017 season. Our Junior and Senior Competitions ran smoothly and we were particularly lucky with the weather as no games were cancelled due to wet weather. This year we saw the introduction of a new junior 10 years competition draw and this was proven to be most successful. We had a nice sunny day for our Grand Final making playing conditions pleasant for the end of our season with several members from the UTS Sparks in attendance to present trophies to the juniors. There were many strongly contested games with exciting and close results on the day. Senior Grades - Final Placings 2 P a g e

Metro League 2017 We had two teams were entered in this year s competition. Team 1 - Division 2 Premiers Ali Tucker (Coach), Fran Reynolds (Manager) This team was crowned 2017 Champions following a close win over Hills District on Thursday, 14 September 2017 capping off a magnificent year for Randwick. The scoreboard was in continual motion with minimal turnovers resulting in 10 minutes of goal-for-goal scoring. But it was Randwick who emerged first, finding a purple patch in the shadows of half-time to take the lead off Hills at the big break 32-28. No one could predict the final result as players from both sides threw themselves into the contest, backed by a vocal Show Court crowd. Randwick scored the opening two goals out of the gate, providing them with an all-important three goal buffer. Despite everything Hills gave to the game, Randwick was able to dispel the charge to finish four-goal victors. This team will now qualify for the 2018 Waratah Cup which will be a great honour for our Association. Team 2 - Division 3 5 th Rhonda Stephenson (Coach), Kelly Day (Manager) This team was marred by injuries during the season but despite this they played well and gave their all. 11 P a g e

Recording Program Special thanks again to Robert Coleman for devising an Excel Program for Recorders that made the recording so much easier and quicker. Thank you, Robert for your valuable time it is very much appreciated. 18 P a g e
