From the Principal Saint Paul School Dear St. Paul Families, Do you believe it's almost Thanksgiving? At Saint Paul School we have a lot to be grateful for and are lucky to have such wonderful teachers. I am very grateful for all of the faculty and staff who are so dedicated and passionate about their work. I see them going over and beyond each and every day for the students at Saint Paul School; and I feel blessed to have such wonderful colleagues. I am also thankful for such a hardworking PTA. I have never seen a more dedicated group of volunteers. Thank you for all you do to help our school. Next week the Torch of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be delivered to our school. It is an honor for our school to host the Torch. We have been working with the children to prepare them for the Torch's arrival on Monday. The older students have been helping the younger students make Tilmas to wear. The tilma or mantle of Juan Diego is imprinted with the Sacred Image of the Blessed Virgin. The tilma is hand woven from the coarse fibers of the Mangueycactus. This fabric has a life span of approximately 30 years. We improvised and made our tilmas out of paper bags and bright, colored markers. Next Wednesday, Nov. 21st we will have a special Thanksgiving Prayer Service and some other special activities related to the Torch. All are welcome to attend. I hope to see you all at breakfast with Santa on Sunday. God Bless, Mrs. Cioci, M.Ed 1 8th grade students will be helping residents get to and from Mass today at the Masonic Home.
