1. General Main properties of Chlorinator M 3600 Heavy duty performance Diversity of control options: remote from controller unit, manual on motor valve, manual with manual rate valve Simple installation, set up and start up Vacuum indication Made of quality materials 3
Automatic chlorinator series M 3600 C is a heavy duty dosing unit intended for accurate manual or automatic dosing of chlorine gas into water. It is designed to be controlled from controller (automatic control) or in case of need it can simply be switched to manual control. The unit consist of motor dosing valve series M 3521 C, ERB gas flow meter of corresponding capacity with manual rate valve, vacuum gauge and wall mounting board with piping and valves for manual bypass of motor valve. Optional differential pressure regulator is available in case of long vacuum lines or fluctuating vacuum. Electromotive dosing valve Series M 3521 C is made of compact plastic, resistant to high concentration of chlorine, precision dosing valve and quality driving motor. Gas flow meter is also made of compact plastic, resistant to high concentration of chlorine and precision manual rate valve. All seals are made of fluorocarboned hydrogen's ( VITON, TEFLON) resistant to aggressive gases. All this guarantees a safe, long and accurate functioning of automatic chlorinator. 2. Operation Automatic chlorinator is mounted between ejector and vacuum regulator. It is connected to AQUAProcessor which opens or closes the motor valve on chlorinator according to the signal received from water flow meter and/or residual chlorine analyzer. In case of controller malfunction the dose can easily be set manual on the motor valve by pressing the switch manual and switches open/close. In case of motor valve malfunctioning, manual dosage can be adjusted by rate valve on the gas flow meter. Motor valve can then easily be dismounted from chlorinator without interrupting the dosing process. When repaired it can easily be assembled back and set into operation. 4
Normal vacuum on gauge must not exceed 0,20 bar. If vacuum value is higher this means system is not working properly. Possible causes: - Empty cylinder - Blocked filter on regulator - Closed chlorine valve - Resistance on chlorine line (damaged chlorine pipe) 5
2.1 Automatic control In automatic mode ( switch modes in the REMOTE position ) control over opening and closing is done processing unit ( AquaProcesor or Poolprocesor ) on the basis of a given program. 2.2 Manual control - 1 The manual should switch to the type of operation switch to MANUAL. With key CLOSE we perform valve closure and the opening OPEN. Dosing quantity reads the rotameter. This way of manual labour is used principally when the processor for automatic dosing is not working correctly or is defective, provided that the power supply 24VAC valve function. 2.3 Manual control - 2 For this type of manual labour does not matter in which position switch for the type of valve operation. They need to close PVC ball valves on the board and then the dosage amount is adjusted with a manual metering valve on the rotameter. This way of manual labour is used in the event of complete failure of automation when there is no power supply for 24V engine valves. The only requirement is to operate the injector and vacuum regulator. 6
3. Motor valve Main properties: Very high dosage precision Easy to install Made of quality materials Electronically or manually controlled electro-motor driven dozing valve M 3521 C is designed for accurate dosing of chlorine gas and other aggressive gases to water. Electro-motor valve M3251C is made of: compact plastic which is resistant to high chlorine and other aggressive gases concentrations quality electro-motor and rate valve with Teflon seat. Washers are made of fluoride carbon hydroxides (Viton, Teflon), materials resistant to aggressive gases. Electro-motor valve M 3521 C can be controlled automatically over control system (PLC) or it can be controlled manually over keyboard on the front end of the valve. Precisely set up final switches are defining when the valve is closed or entirely opened, and communicate information about final position of the valve to the control centre. 7
3.1 Connection and regulation of MV Supply voltage for electro-motor valve M 3521C is 24 VAC (+/- 10%), 50 or 60 Hz and is connected through 4 pole connector on cable to KON1. Control signals are connected through 8 pole connector on cable to KON2. Both connectors are encoded, so they can only be connected if they are positioned correctly. Slip gently the cable connectors on valve connectors and then the fastening nut tenderly! See electrical connection plans for details! 3.2 Automatic operation of MV Electro-motor valve M 3521 C is controlled with PLC control unit when control selectivity switch is in REMOTE position. 3.3 Manual operation of MV For manual control selectivity the switch must be in MANUAL position. Then the valve is opened or closed by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE key. 3.4 Data: Electro-motor: 24 VAC 50 or 60 Hz Synchronic Protection: IP 65 Silver valve: from 10 gcl 2 /h to 10 kg Cl 2 /h Consumption: 4 W (max.) Connectors: Cable inlet on connectors KON1 PG7 KON2 PG9 Connection terminals up to 0.50 mm 2 ( LICY ) 8
