2 New members have joined us! A warm welcome to: Olivene M. Hurley, Angela Malinowski. Keep on coming the more, the merrier! CROCHETTING FOR A CAUSE Our Crochet Club meets every Monday at 9:00 AM, and they have been very busy crocheting numerous afghan squares. I received an email from a Project Amigo Volunteer, Samuel Brown, from Cheshire, CT. He was requesting specific afghan squares be made which would then be incorporated into blankets and sent to Mexico. Needless to say, when I reached out to our Crochet Club, they instantaneously began making these squares. In just two consecutive Monday gatherings, they were able to crochet OVER 200 squares. These squares were then picked up by Samuel and will be assembled and then shipped to Mexico. What an AMAZING group these ladies are. They have such talent and spirit. Their handmade blankets, shawls, hats and scarves are so beautiful and are then donated to various charitable organizations. These women are truly a gift! If you like to crochet or would like to learn how, feel free to come any Monday.
