LEEMING NETBALL CLUB January 2015 Welcome from the Leeming Netball Club Committee Dear Member, Welcome, to the Leeming Netball Club for 2015. We are looking forward to another very enjoyable and successful netball season. In this pack, there is a lot of important information regarding the 2015 netball season, please take the time to review this information. From this year Club registrations will now be conducted through our on-line facility on Sporting Pulse. Payments will be made either by credit card or by EFT. Uniforms can still be purchased using the same manual forms as previous years. A date and time will be advised for uniform try on. All junior players (born 2000 to 2007) will require a Lycra skirt and top in club colours. Club socks or plain white socks are to be worn to games. Under 17 s, under 19 s and Seniors will be required to wear the club bodysuit. It is necessary for these suits to be fitted, as they are small in size. Payment and orders for all uniforms must be completed by Thursday 19 th February 2015 Netball WA and Fremantle Netball Association have again increased their fees. Unfortunately the club will have to pass on these increases this year to the members. If you have any concerns or questions (or encouragement) please feel free to contact any of those on the committee. HOW TO REGISTER The on-line registration facility is available as follows: Go directly to the Sporting Pulse page devoted to Leeming player registrations at: https://reg.sportingpulse.com/v6/regoform.cgi?formid=45268 Alternatively there is a link to the Sporting Pulse/Leeming registration page available on the Leeming Netball Club website at: www.leemingnetballclub.com.au Just follow the prompts once you enter the Sporting Pulse page. Previous registration details have been retained, so the process is simple this year for prior registered players. Please note: 1. Registrations close on 10 th February 2015. Registrations received after this date will incur a late penalty fee of $20 2. All on-line registrations must be accompanied with full payment. 3. You are requested to indicate in the on-line registration how you can make a contribution to the Club. 4. Seniors, 19 s and 17 s are reminded that they must umpire as part of their team commitment. 5. Leeming seeks to place the strongest team possible in each grade. Please refer to the Club s grading policies. 6. Late registrations will be placed on a waiting list for team selection, in which case no guarantee of team placement can be made. 7. Before completing the Leeming Netball Club player on-line registration process, please read the terms and conditions carefully Registration Information for 2015 All player particulars must be provided to the Leeming Netball Club on-line. This covers areas such as: Players and parents names and contact details (please note that the first-named parent will be registered as a Parent Member of the Leeming Netball Club) recent playing details and medical conditions proposed contribution to Club (eg umpiring, coaching or manager, fundraising, committee or sponsorship) Page 1

FEES FOR 2015 The fees for 2015 are: Junior (Born 2000-2007) $200.00 Senior (Born 1999 and prior) $210.00 PAYMENT METHODS The two payment methods available in the on-line registration process are as follows. TERMS AND CONDITIONS To complete your registration you must agree to the following statement in the on-line registration process. The player and, if the player is less than 18 years old, the first-named parent, each understand and agree as follows: 1. The players will be graded into teams in accordance with Club policy. 2. Leeming Netball Club endorses the Fremantle Netball Association (FNA) codes of conduct. Therefore you are agreeing to abide by these codes and all other rules, policies and regulations established by the Leeming Netball Club, including the Leeming Constitution and By-Laws. 3. I give permission for the above details to be used for all administrative tasks within the Club, including the sharing of contact details with coaches, managers and other Club officials. 4. I agree to the Club using netball related photos of me/my child on the Leeming website. (please contact the club in writing if you do not want photos of your child published). 5. I agree to participate in the Leeming Netball Club fundraising events. 6. INSURANCE Netball WA financial members are covered by (limited) personal accident insurance. Players in Seniors, 19 s and 17 s and, if the player is less than 18 years old, the first-named parent each understand and agree to the following: 7. I understand that during the season, including the finals, I will be required to umpire for my team and club. If I am unable to umpire, I understand that it is my responsibility to find a suitable replacement at my own expense. If the Club incurs a fine for Failure to Umpire I understand I will be invoiced and will not be a financial member until the account is paid in full. Page 3

GRADING INFORMATION FOR 2015 Grading commences mid-february. Please advise if you are unable to attend all sessions. If you need to arrive late or leave early, please list dates, times and reasons on the registration form so the graders can allow for this. It is very difficult to grade players when they are absent. Also to help us plan team sizes please advise us if you plan to be absent for more than two weeks during the season. Grading will be held at the West Leeming Primary School netball courts. Every endeavour is made by the Graders to place members appropriately in teams taking into consideration skills and team balance. We cannot guarantee to place your daughter with her friends. If you choose to withdraw your daughter from Leeming Netball Club the following fees will apply: Withdrawals after registration and prior to allocation day will incur a $20 fee. Withdrawals AFTER TEAM ALLOCATION will incur a $50 fee. There will be no refund for any withdrawals after final payment for registration is made to FNA. Page 5

TEAM ALLOCATION FOR 2015 Junior Allocation will be held at the West Leeming Primary School Netball Courts on Sunday 15 th March from 3-30pm to 5pm: Senior Allocation will be held at the West Leeming Primary School netball courts from 7:00pm on Tuesday 17th March for Seniors, Under 19 s and Under 17 s (1998 and 1999). It is essential you attend as teams will be announced. It will be your responsibility to contact the club if you are unable to attend. The first game will be held on Saturday 2 nd May 2015 TRAINING All Grading and Training Sessions are held at West Leeming Primary School. Training is held on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays. Teams will select their training day and time in consultation with the coach at Team Allocation. COACHING Leeming Netball Club encourages parents and players to register as coaches. No previous experience is required and coaches are appointed after discussions with the relevant Coaching Co-ordinator after grading of the players has been finalised. UMPIRING For every game that Leeming plays in the FNA competition, the Club is required to provide an umpire. players aged 12 and older (including Seniors) who are interested in umpiring juniors are asked to indicate on their registration form that they are interested in umpiring our Juniors. Younger players will not be umpiring on Saturdays but may attend a basic course organised by the Club. Players wishing to be paid to umpire Juniors will be required to attend one of these courses. Seniors, 19 s and 17 s are reminded that they must umpire as part of their team commitment and those who are lacking in umpiring experience are encouraged to attend any umpiring courses organised by the club. All club umpires are required to wear a white shirt. FNA imposes a fine of $50 for failure to umpire, along with a team penalty of 2 premiership points. After discussion and consultation with players and parents a code of behaviour for Leeming Netball Club has been agreed upon. A copy of this is attached and must be signed and returned to the graders on the first grading session attended. Parents and Players must also abide by Fremantle Netball Association s Code of Conduct which is available on the FNA website, www.fremantlenetballassociation.com.au. FUNDRAISING Leeming Netball Club has two major fundraising events per year; a Chocolate drive and a Cake Stall. Chocolate Drive Each family is required to either sell one box of chocolates or pay a levy of $30 with their fees. Cake Stall Supply one cake per family for the Leeming Cake Stall at FNA (usually in June). SPONSORSHIP Leeming is again looking for Club sponsors in 2015. Page 7

UNIFORMS All orders for uniforms should be made directly to our Uniform Coordinator, Lorraine Panizza on 0408 933 235. Please Note: 1. Orders will not be completed without payment. 2. All orders must be placed and paid for before 19 th February 2015. 3. All uniforms not received when ordered and paid for will be distributed during training sessions prior to the commencement of the season. 4. Please contact our uniform coordinator by Friday 6th February if you have a second hand uniform to sell. After discussion and consultation with players and parents a code of behaviour for Leeming Netball Club has been agreed upon. Parents and Players must also abide by The Fremantle Netball Association Code of Conduct, which is on the FNA website. www.fremantlenetballassociation.com.au. ALL PLAYERS MUST SIGN THIS CONTRACT 1. Play by the rules as outlined. 2. Never argue with an official (umpire, club official or association official). Grievances can be discussed with your Team Coach or Team Manager. Letters can be addressed to the Leeming Committee, PO Box 65 Bull Creek WA 6149. 3. Main aim is to enjoy the game and improve your skills. 4. Control your temper and do not indulge in any verbal or physical abuse of an umpire, club official, association official or any player. 5. Good sportsmanship is important. Acknowledge good efforts from both our team and the opposition. 6. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. 7. You are part of a team, co-operate with your Coach, Team Manager, team mates, umpires and opponents as without them there would be no game. 8. All comments must be constructive not destructive. 9.
