National 4-H Week Tell your 4-H Story! National 4-H Week is October 7-13. Send us your 4-H photos that we can post on Facebook. Photos can be from last year or many years ago. TSC Paper Clover to support 4-H Purchase your 4-H Paper Clover at a Tractor Supply in Hamilton County Soddy Daisy, Ooltewah or Signal Mountain Road on October 3-14, 2018. Clubs, county agents and volunteers who participate at their local Tractor Supply Co. store during Paper Clover. Not only will this help donations and improve their relationship with their local store, they will also have the opportunity to enter the Paper Clover Participation Sweepstakes, where 75 clubs will win a $100 TSC gift card. Participation can be anything from setting up a display table and project boards inside the store to having clubs encourage customers to donate. Hamilton County Fair Due to conditions of Chester Frost Park the 2018 Hamilton County Fair has been cancelled. There were items entered in the Home Center and Agriculture Departments that are housed in the round pavilion on Dallas Island. Check out some of the agricultural entries below.
4-H Honor Club The 4-H Honor Club is open to all 5th 12th graders in Hamilton County. Those who are 6th grade and older submit an application to the state 4-H office for submission into the Tennessee 4-H Honor Club. The October meeting will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Extension office, 3rd floor meeting room. Meetings are held the first Thursday of most months. 4-H All Stars Fall All Star Conference There is Something Strange in Gatlinburg This conference is open to all 9th 12th graders. If this is your first All Star Conference you will get $50 off your registration fee. 4-H Citizenship Club - New Club for 2018-2019 Join the 4-H Citizenship Club to learn the basics of what it takes to be a good citizen of your community, as well as to take part in fun 4-H activities and contests throughout the year! Club members will meet once a month. Each meeting will include project reports, group games and fun learning activities. Club members will also have the opportunity to complete a 4-H portfolio. This new 4-H club will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4-6 pm, beginning on Thursday, September 13. Meetings will be held at the UT/TSU Extension - Hamilton County office, 6183 Adamson Circle, Chattanooga, TN 37416. Cost is $20 per student, which includes a club t-shirt. Snacks and hot dogs will be served at meetings. All Hamilton County students in grades 4-12 (in all schools, as well as home-educated) are eligible to join.
