3 Fun & Exercise at the District 6 & 7 Teen Skate By: Lily Young, 4-H Health Ambassador Whenever you think of exercising it doesn t seem fun at times. You want to push it off into the back of your head and just forget about it. But not all exercises have to be hardcore and make you sweat. If you joined the 4-H bandwagon, you could give yourself so many choices to be able to have the physical activity you need. You could be having fun while exercising and wouldn t even know it. Friday night Lily Young & Grace Brocato at the 4-H Area Teen meeting for District 6 and 7. December 15, H leaders from several counties in districts 6 and 7 decided to have a get together for their teen 4-H ers at the Edge Ice Center here in Owensboro! Now I m not one who knows how to skate, but I still had lots of fun! Ice skating is an awesome and perfect example of a way to have fun while moving around and getting exercise while doing it. If you re not one who s used to it, you may even lose your breath going a couple of rounds! I know I did! Club Leaders: REMINDER Club financial Reports and Inventories are due in the Extension Office no later than February 1. You will receive these forms in the mail. 4-H is Growing True Leaders Demonstrations The county Demonstrations will be held at the Extension Office on January 31 at 4 p.m. This contest is open to all Daviess County youth ages 9-18 as of January 1, In order to compete, you must pick a topic that fits any of the listed categories, then prepare and give a 5-15 minute talk demonstrating a skill, craft, or something of interest to you.
