Job Fair Delegate Adrienne Jones will be hosting a job fair for seeking parttime and summer employment at New Town High School on Saturday, Feb. 25 th from 10 AM 2 PM. Milford Mill Academy will be having and interview prep session on February 22 nd from 2:30 3:30. Sign up beforehand in the library to secure your spot. See Ms. Charley for more details!

Senior Acceptance Congratulations to Senior Breona Jukes on her acceptance to Lincoln University! Congratulations also to Senior Brittany Wright on her acceptance to Mount St. Mary's University with a $30,000 scholarship. Seniors continue to bring your college and university acceptance letters to the Office of School Counseling.

Class of 2020 Attention class of 2020! The class will be taking a trip to Washington DC on April 5, 2017 which is SAT DAY. In order to attend the trip you must pay for class activity fees. Class dues this year are $60. This price includes the field trip and a class of 2020 t-shirt. Dues must be paid by Thursday, February 23 rd! No exceptions! Please see Coach White or Coach Bassett for more information.

Library Lunch Policy Policy Changes for Students Coming to the Library for Lunch ~Students coming to the library for lunch must arrive before the late bell rings. ~Once the bell rings, no one will be admitted. ~Students also wanting to eat lunch must come to the library first, then will be released to the cafeteria ten minutes into the lunch period. No more white passes. ~The library door will be open between periods and once again, 10 minutes into the lunch period, for those wishing to go to the cafeteria. Other times the door will remain locked. There will be no passes issued and the blocks will not be available. Released Time students who want to spend 3rd period in the library: ~You must arrive in the library before the late bell. ~You may go to the lunch of your choice, leaving 10 minutes into the lunch period. ~Return to the library before the late bell rings for the next lunch period.

Morning Miller Show Online! For students and teachers: If you miss the Morning Miller Show, you can watch them online from your phone or computer! Go to YouTube.com and search Morning Miller Show. It s that easy!

Upcoming Events

Junior Prom Junior Prom is April 29th from 7pm- 11pm. Student tickets are $60, Guests are $80, a Couples ticket is $100. Tickets go on sale today, so stop by Mr. Johnson's room 110 or get your tickets from any class of 2018 officer! Also tickets will be sold at all lunch periods, and most importantly, pay your dues which is $90 for junior year. If you have any interest in prom princess and prince go to Mr. Johnson to get the requirements.

College Fridays AVID is promoting College Fridays! On Fridays, wear gear from your favorite college to promote college awareness and readiness.

Book Club Meeting There will be a book club meeting in the library after school today!

Yearbooks Yearbooks are available for just $49.99 through March 1 st. The price increases after that date, so lock in this low price now. Go to Jostens.com or see Mr. Sneeringer in room 202 to secure your yearbook.

My Brother s Keeper My Brother s Keeper will be meeting on February 22 nd at 2:30 in room 211. See Coach Mellerson for more details.

Sports

Boy s Lacrosse For anyone interested in trying out for Boy s lacrosse, please see Coach Bassett to pick up the required paperwork. All skill levels are welcome. Paperwork must be submitted on or before February 22 nd. 1 st day of tryouts is March 1. Don't miss out!

Boys Basketball The Varsity Boy s Basketball team will play in the County Championship game against Perry Hall! The game will be held at SECU Arena on the Towson University campus on Tuesday, February 21 st at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $8 each for all fans Come out and support our Millers!

Boy s Lacrosse Manager For any student interested in being a boys lacrosse manager please see Coach Bassett ASAP!

Softball Pre-season workouts are ongoing afterschool and meet in room 201.
