Noise New Zealand Grand Prix Championship Mini Sprint 15th December 2018 5pm Race Program start Conditions of Entry This event is programmed for one night. Two people per tow vehicle will get free entry Postponement/ Rain Date The postponement/ rain date is Sunday 16th December 5pm Format The promoter reserves the right to change the format. Rules The event will be run according to the 2018 Speedway New Zealand Rule Book Lap Scoring This meeting will have Dorian Electronic Lap scoring in place Competitor must have their own Dorian unit as no units will be available for hire Transmitters are required to be working Race Receivers All drivers will be required to use race receivers on the night Numbers Duplicate numbers only by prior approval and (if required) the competitor will be required to change their number Vehicle Checking Pits will open for Minisprint Competitors at 1.00pm Vehicle checking will commence at 1.00pm. All cars will be completed by 3pm No vehicles will be Green Sheet checked at the venue, this must be arranged beforehand with the respective authorities Technical Inspections: Please pay attention to rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5. Posted Results: Each driver is responsible to check the posted results on the lower level of the Race Control Building within 10 minutes of their race. The results will stand outside of this 10-minute period, at which point no discussion or correspondence will be entered into. Drivers Briefing: Driver's briefing will be held in the club rooms at 3.30 pm. This is for drivers only Noise levels will be adhered to as per the current Speedway New Zealand Rule Book. Maximum noise level of 95dba will be strictly enforced. If you exceed this limit you will be notified by the Steward, and you will be required to make the appropriate changes to your race car to ensure its compliant.if you continue to exceed the limit, you may be removed from the race along with the results of that race
Race Format (depending on number of entries) The number of cars in the heats and the number of heats may change depending on the number of competitors. All drivers will be divided into seeded groups. Drivers draw their first grid position by marble draw. Each group will race two heats and the starting grid from the second heat will be an Inversion of the first heat for each group. Each driver accumulates points depending on heat finish positions. Restarts: All restarts will be double file. Feature grid is determined from heat points The top 16-point scoring drivers in the heats qualify for the feature. Semi-Main(s) The remaining drivers' race in the semi-mains and the top four finishers move to the feature and will take up the remaining grids. Number of laps in heat races and semi-main. The number of laps in the heat races will be 12 laps. The number of laps in the semi main will be 12 laps. Equal on Points If drivers are equal on points after their heats, their position will be decided by the fastest lap recorded during the heats. New Zealand Minisprint Grand Prix Feature The maximum number of cars in the final is 20. The winner of the 30-lap final will be the 2018/2019 New Zealand Minisprint Grand Prix Champion.
