ABOUT BANBURY HOCKEY CLUB Banbury Hockey Club, founded in 1946, has its home ground and club house at the North Oxfordshire Academy and this has been its home for the last ten years. The club has five Men s and four Ladies teams as well as very successful Mixed, Vets and Summer League teams. Over recent times the success of the club has been down to the thriving junior section that has over 200 children training and playing for Banbury Hockey Club. The Men s 1st team play their hockey in the South Premier Division. In recent times they have won the England Hockey Men s Trophy three times, having reached the final on six occasions since 2004. They have had two of their juniors represent England and Wales U18 as well as attracting players from New Zealand and Australia. The Ladies 1st team play in the South Premier 2 Division and are reaping the benefits of a young side after their promotion last season. In 2006 they won the England Hockey Ladies Vase and have seen a number of their juniors move straight from Banbury into the National League. Junior Academy Banbury Hockey Club boasts a thriving junior section catering for children from the ages of 4 to 16 years. It has achieved the Clubmark award (re-awarded in 2013) to create a safe, effective and child-friendly hockey club. Training sessions are led by fully qualified coaches, with the aim of developing youngsters to their full potential. We have also been very proud to see some a number of our juniors go on to gain county, regional and national honours.
WHY CHOSE HOCKEY Sport brings people together for a common aim; it inspires a passion and a dedication which plays a central part in many people s lives. Sport is for individuals striving to succeed either on their own or in teams. However, those individuals, together or alone, need the help of others to provide the facilities, the equipment, and the opportunities. Tony Blair, A Sporting Future for All Hockey is a truly mixed sport with a gender split of 54% male to 46% female. It is predominantly played by an ABC1 audience with 61% of players degree educated. England Hockey There are so many great things on offer at BHC, such as Back to Hockey, mixed teams and a thriving social scene. On top of this, each week we put out 9 senior and numerous junior sides, all of which get access to quality coaching and competition opportunity. BECOME A SPONSOR AT BANBURY Banbury Hockey Club is looking to attract sponsorship to help develop the club and its players. We aim to build long term, sustainable partnerships with a range of sponsors at all levels and offer tangible benefits from an involvement with Oxfordshire s Premier Hockey Club. We are looking for sponsorship in funding and/or in-kind, ranging from equipment to services or expertise. All of our sponsorship opportunities can be individually tailored to meet your needs, but we also offer some package guidelines below to give you an idea of exactly what could be available to you; We can also offer you the chance to specify exactly what projects your money is being used for to give you as much satisfaction as possible.
