General Information CLOSING DATE: November 28 (RECEIVED), At her discretion, the Show Secretary may accept late entries (will include a $20 late entry fee): Donna Walters (352) 317-4732 sbhs.entry@gmail.com To be processed, ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE: 1) Fully executed entry form including ALL required signatures. 2) Checks made out to SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS or SBHS 3) Copy of current negative Coggins (within past 12 months) 4) Signed Florida Horse Park Release (included with Entry Form in this Omnibus) A NON-COMPETING HORSE must have a fully executed entry form, pay office fee, pay grounds or stabling fee, and must wear assigned show number when in hand or being ridden on the show grounds. THIS IS AN INSURANCE ISSUE AND WILL BE ENFORCED. Entry can be done the day of the show. Riders must comply with headgear rule (see ATTIRE below). RIDE TIMES and STALL ASSIGNMENTS: Posted online at http://www.southeastbaroque.com/ seventy-two (72) hours prior to show time. Competitors are advised to recheck times upon arrival to the show, as last minute changes to the schedule may be made. Membership Requirements: A membership for Rider AND Horse is required for all competitors. The membership can be WE United and/or Confederation of Working Equitation. The Confederation requires Horses to be recorded for score/level tracking. Membership forms can be found on www.weunited.us and/or www.confederationwe.us. NON-MEMBER FEES are $15 for WE United and $30 for Confederation. TO BE CLEAR you only need one membership to compete. It must be current for points to count for Awards in WE United and/or Confederation. You can also be a member of both for points towards both awards programs. SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS follows USEF / USDF / USWE rules. The show will be run in accordance with the U.S. Rules for Working Equitation, found on www.confederationwe.us/rules. STALLS: Fee $50/night NO Initial bedding supplied. Additional bedding may be purchased directly from the Florida Horse Park for $9.00 a bag. Stalls MUST be reserved in advance. Stalls do not need to be stripped when leaving. Please mark on entry form if you intend to arrive the day before the show, 12 x 12 stalls. Horse may arrive after 1pm Saturday, November 3. Directions: Please use the new entrance: From I-75: head East on 484. At the first traffic light, take a left onto SW 16th Ave/475A (Cracker Barrel will be on your right at the light). Drive 1.5 miles. Turning lanes will be on your right - that's the new entrance that comes in behind the covered arena/barns. Directions at http://flhorsepark.com/thepark/directions.aspx CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND SCORING ( TESTS ) Children. This level is limited to riders 8 to 13 years of age. There is a separate Dressage trial and EOH trial for this level. Walk and trot only. Rising or sitting trot is allowed. There is no Speed trial at this level. Level 1 Intro. This is an introductory level designed for new horse-rider pairs, as well as young or green horses. There is no Speed trial at this level. Walk and trot are required in the Dressage and EOH trials (i.e., canter is not allowed). Rising or sitting trot is allowed. Trot is required between obstacles in EOH. Two hands may be used on the reins. May be offered for Youth, Amateur and Open Divisions, as well as Young Horse Division. Level 2 Novice A. This level is designed for horse-rider pairs who are beginning their development in WE. Canter is required in the Dressage trial and between obstacles in EOH. Changes of lead are through the trot. Obstacles must be trotted, unless required or allowed to be walked. Rising or sitting trot is allowed. Two hands may be used on the reins. May be offered for Youth, Amateur and Open Divisions, as well as Young Horse Division. 2

Level 3 Novice B. Sitting trot is required in the Dressage trial. Canter is required on and between obstacles. Changes of lead through the trot are required. Two hands may be used on the reins. May be offered for Youth, Amateur and Open Divisions, as well as Young Horse Division. Level 4 Intermediate A. This level is designed for horse-rider pairs progressing in their development. Sitting trot is required in the Dressage trial. Simple changes of lead through the walk are required. Two hands may be used on the reins. May be offered for Youth, Amateur and Open Divisions. Level 5 Intermediate B. Sitting trot is required in the Dressage trial. Flying changes are required. Two hands may be used on the reins. May be offered for Youth, Amateur and Open Divisions. Refer to US Rules for Working Equitation for complete Tack & Attire Rules. HORSE: Horses must display bridle number in hand, in harness or under saddle. Bell boots, martingales and leg wraps are not allowed when showing in Dressage phase, but leg wraps/bell boots are permitted for EOH and Speed. Southeast Baroque Horse Shows follows USEF/USWE rules for warm-up equipment rules. DOGS must be leashed at all times. Leash length not to exceed 6 feet. Dogs must be in hand, tied up or enclosed. Loose dogs will incur a $50 donation to the Florida Horse Park! Any loose dog on show grounds will be subject to a $50 fine to the Florida Horse Park Show management reserves the right to refuse any entry, use substitute judges, combine or split classes, as entries warrant. CLASS PLACING AWARDS: First place award and ribbons for first through sixth place. Instead of a ribbon, competitor may request a coupon that can be applied to future entries or other SBHS activities. If not picked up at the show, Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons, if awarded, will be mailed to competitors after the end of the show, but unclaimed class ribbons will be returned to club inventory. CHECK SCORES BEFORE LEAVING SHOW GROUNDS. Corrections gladly made in show office on show day. No corrections will be made after the end of the show. DRESSAGE DIVISIONS OPEN RIDER DIVISION: Riders who accept remuneration for riding, driving, showing, training, schooling, or conducting clinics or seminars, giving riding or driving lessons, lessons in showmanship, instructions in equitation or horse training and so do not meet the requirements to be AA or Jr/YR. May only enter classes designated as Open or combined classes (AA,Jr/YR,Open). Refer to sections 1307 and 1308 (General Rules) in the USEF rulebook. 3

ADULT AMATEUR DIVISION (AA): Riders over 21 who do NOT accept remuneration for riding, driving, showing, training, schooling, or conducting clinics or seminars, giving riding or driving lessons, lessons in showmanship, instructions in equitation or horse training. May enter classes designated AA or Open. JUNIOR /YOUNG RIDER DIVISION (Jr/YR): 21 years of age and under. May enter classes designated as AA, Jr/YR, or Open. Juniors (under 18 years old) may ride stallions in all Ridden Dressage classes EXCEPT Dressage Seat Equitation. AN APPEALS COMMITTEE will consist of the Senior Judge, Show Manager and a non-competing 3rd person. Any complaints or questions concerning possible rule infractions or health and safety issues must be brought to the attention of the Show Manager. If the Show Manager cannot resolve the matter satisfactorily, the appeals committee will convene. Decisions of the appeals committee are final. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS: Scratches before closing date are given a full refund (entries and stalls/grounds fees). No veterinary or medical notes are required. Refunds after closing date are only eligible to receive a refund (in the form of SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS voucher) for entry fees or grounds fee provided a veterinary or medical note is provided to the show manager. Stabling fee is not refunded. The competitor must notify the show manager by 6 pm the day before the show to receive a refund (voucher). Competitors not notifying the show manager prior to this time can only be considered for a refund (voucher) upon petition to the show manager. There is no guarantee of refund for no shows, with or without medical or veterinary note, but each petition will be reviewed on a case by case basis. CANCELLATIONS: In case of impending severe weather such as a hurricane, a committee consisting of the Judge and Show Manager may cancel a show. Any cancellation due to weather will be posted on www.southeastbaroque.com and/or on the answering machine at (352) 317-6113 by 7 pm the night preceding the show. The show may be rescheduled at a later date, not necessarily at the same venue. Competitors will be credited for their ride/drive fees but STALL FEES & GROUNDS FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Inquiries may also be directed to Donna Walters, 352-317-4732 or southeastbaroque@gmail.com WEATHER DELAYS: In the case of severe weather such as rain, thunder, lightning or hail, the Show Manager on site may call for a delay of the show without consulting other committee members. When the show is resumed, it will continue in the order of go as listed in the program. IF A COMPETITOR HAS LEFT THE SHOWGROUND, IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A SCRATCH. NO REFUND OF ANY KIND WILL BE MADE. If the show cannot be resumed due to unsafe weather conditions, it will be rescheduled at a later date, not necessarily at the same venue, to be determined by the show committee. STALL FEES/GROUNDS FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Stall fees/grounds fees owed to alternate venue are the financial responsibility of the competitor. COMPETITORS OWING REVENUES to SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS (including stall clean-up fees and any other outstanding monies) will be barred from further showing until such debts are paid in full. NSF CHECKS are subject to a $40 recovery fee added to the check amount, plus all SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS bank fees. COMPETITORS ENTERING ELECTRONICALLY WITHOUT PAYMENT: If payment is not delivered in full the morning of the show, the competitor will be ineligible for any further entry at SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS show until indebtedness is resolved. RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT I, the undersigned (Releasor), on my behalf and on the behalf of my heirs, assigns, and successors in interest, and on behalf of my minor child(ren), or those persons or individuals for whom I am responsible acknowledge and understand the following: The inherent risks involved in riding, driving, and working around horses, and those risks listed in Florida Statutes 773.01(6) (2012) The entities described above, including Southeast Baroque Horse Shows LLC. and any sponsors, property owners, or additional insureds, and or equine professionals associated with the above described events (collectively described as Sponsors ) will not be held responsible for any injury, death, damage, or loss to or by animals or equipment, including without limitation equines, canines, carriages, equipment use, for the care, or use of the animals or equines. This includes, but is not limited to damage by fire, theft, animal, human and/or equipment collision, escape and acts of God. In consideration for the privilege of participating in activities related with the activities located on or related to the Sponsors property, equipment, equines, or animals, the undersigned Releasors expressly agree to assume the risk for any and all injury, loss or damage and agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify Sponsors, together with all their agents/employees from any and all claims of injury, loss, damage or death caused by, resulting from or in any way related to the inherent risks of equine activities. Releasors agree that all farrier, veterinarian and medical expenses, including emergency care treatment are the sole responsibility of the owner of the animals on behalf of whom such services are rendered. Releasors expressly covenant not to sue or make claim against Sponsors, their heirs, successors, assigns, agents, servants or employees for any injury, loss, damage or death caused by, resulting from, or in any way related to any of the inherent risks of equine activities. Should any individual provision of this release agreement be declared null, void and unenforceable, all other provisions shall be in full force and effect. In the event of any claim or litigation arising out of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to attorney s fees and costs. This is a legally binding agreement and each party has the right to seek and obtain the opinion of separate counsel before executing this document. FHP Rules for SBHS Shows GENERAL SAFETY RULES No smoking in offices, stable pavilions, spectator pavilions, equine buildings or arenas. In accordance with State Regulations, no open fires are ever permitted on any part of the HORSE PARK property. Barbeque grills may be used in designated areas only. Trash must be placed in proper receptacles. HORSE PARK staff, in cooperation with SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS MANAGEMENT, may remove dangerous, disruptive or unlawful persons from the HORSE PARK. Every competitor must leave the grounds not more than 90 minutes after the conclusion of the show (i.e., last class ends) unless special arrangements have been made with the SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS Show Secretary. Additional stabling nights are available for an additional stall fee of $50. PARKING AND TRAFFIC When parking and unloading, all participants and guests must follow posted signs and/or instructions from a SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS representative. No vehicles are permitted to park within 30 feet of any stabling facility unless unloading or loading. All motorized vehicles, including but not limited to cars, trucks, golf carts, motorcycles, mopeds, ATV s etc. shall be operated by a licensed driver. HORSES AND DOGS All animals brought to the Florida Horse Park must observe all regulations of the State of Florida Animal Health Division. Every horse must at all times (whether under saddle or being led) wear the SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS competition number. Non-competing horses must be registered with the SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS Show Secretary. Longeing is permitted only in designated areas (check with Show Manager) and as long as the horse is under control and if the activity does not interfere with other horses/riders as determined by SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS management. All dogs must be on a leash at all times. There is a $50 fee payable to the Florida Horse Park for any loose dogs collected by a Florida Horse Park or SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS representative. Only one horse per stall. STABLING Stall fee includes NO Shavings; additional bedding is for sale from the Florida Horse Park for $9 per bag, payable to the Show Secretary, who will have another bag brought to you. FHP requests that additional bedding is bought from the park. SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS provides on-site overnight security for stabled horses. If, when you arrive, there are loose shavings of any kind in the stall you have been assigned, notify the show secretary or show manager before putting your horse in the stall. Stall cleaning at end of show is included in stall fee. All manure must be disposed of in designated areas only. Only bedding and manure is to be placed in manure bins. In case of dispute, the SOUTHEAST BAROQUE HORSE SHOWS Show Manager s decision is final. 8
