PREVIEW : LOSC - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN Feature Preview Champions Paris Saint-Germain begin their quest for a fourth straight Ligue 1 title on Friday night at Lille. The visitors head north without Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who injured his knee in the 2-0 Trophée des Champions success against Olympique Lyonnais, last season's Ligue 1 runners-up, in Montreal. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is now the most successful president in PSG's history with the Trophée des Champions the ninth trophy obtained since he took over in 2011. Al-Khelaïfi has challenged the players to repeat last season's historic domestic quadruple, and to improve on the Champions League quarter-final showing. Al-Khelaïfi said:"this win in Montreal absolutely confirms that our ambitions haven't change in the slightest: we want to win every title on offer in France and to continue to grow on the European stage." Pre-season went superbly for PSG as they claimed the International Champions Cup against prestigious opposition in North America. On Thursday PSG presented new recruit Angel Di Maria to the press, the Argentinian international attacking midfielder becoming the club's third signing of the summer, following on from goalkeeper Kevin Trapp and midfielder Benjamin Stambouli. PSG won nine Ligue 1 matches in a row at the end of last season and are looking to extend that club record sequence against a Lille that have scored but a single success against the club from the capital in the last ten Ligue 1 meetings. Ibrahimovic being absent may not necessarily provide a boost to Hervé Renard's men as last season PSG won 62.5% of matches the forward featured in, compared to 64% of those he missed. Renard commented: "Ibrahimovic's absence doesn't change much as PSG have quality players to come in for him." Renard, who led Côte d'ivoire to the Africa Cup of Nations title at the start of 2015, took over as coach in May 2015, signing a three-year deal. There has been much movement in and out of Lille over the summer and the 2011 champions are hopeful their collection of young talents will bring success to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Renard said: "You have to live with your means. Our attacking sector is younger now. We do this job for matches like this and we have to harness the adrenaline. The main thing is to pose them problems, pose problems to Paris Saint-Germain. We also need to play with a high technical level and not to think that we can just sit in and wait without having saves to make, without folding. Some results can be obtained with luck, but maybe only once every 50 games. To get PSG worried we'll have to put in an outstanding game." Renard's PSG counterpart Laurent Blanc was more than satisfied after the OL victory in Montreal. He said: "We're celebrating the win but also the way we won. This afternoon we have every reason to be very happy. There were lots of positives in both individual and collective terms. I would give us a very good grade for today's work. We have worked very hard over here and that had a big influence on today's result. The players have the desire to continue making progress and winning titles. I hope that today's win leads to the kind of excellent season we have enjoyed over the last few years." 08/07/2015 Ligue de Football Professionnel - 2015/2016 - Ligue1.com 2

Nasser Al-Khelaifi is club president. - Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended the 2014-15 season as PSG's leading scorer with 19 goals, one more than team-mate Edinson Cavani, but some way behind the division's top marksman, Olympique Lyonnais' Alexandre Lacazette (27). Ibrahimovic top-scored in Ligue 1 in 2013-14 with 28 goals.
