In this 1949 photo, Mr. Hilton was captured, club in hand, celebrating the purchase of the Waldorf Astoria. Conrad Hilton, a man of vision, would surely be proud of a golf club that would bear the name Waldorf Astoria. This legacy was not lost with Rees Jones, another visionary, who set out to translate the legend of Waldorf Astoria into a memorable and classic golf course. In 2009, the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club opened to the public in Orlando, a exceptional namesake for the hotel Conrad Hilton once called the greatest of them all.
