Knight Clubs Policies and Procedures 2018-2019 Registration will be sent out by Principal Amy Bartlett via mass email blast. If you need a hard copy because you are unable to print at home, you can obtain a form from the front desk or contact your child s homeroom or club teacher to send a form home. Please do not reply to Mrs. Bartlett or your child s teacher for any club related information or questions, please instead directly contact the club teacher. You must fill out multiple copies of the registration form if your child is planning to participate in multiple clubs. You must also send separate checks and forms for each club and each child. Club registration forms will be accepted starting October 29th. At the end of the school day on November 1st, registration forms will be counted for each club. If a club has more applicants than it can take, then all the registration forms received that day will be entered into a lottery system. At this point the club s participants will be chosen randomly. You will be notified by the club teacher no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 2nd if your child s name was randomly chosen or not for the club and checks will be returned for those that are not. Please write a separate check for each club. Checks made payable to Sharon Elementary. Make sure to write the name of the club on the memo line. All checks MUST include an address & phone number. In order for your child to participate they must have ALL of the following items turned in and completed: Completed and signed Registration Form for each individual club Check for each club, made payable to Sharon Elementary; including address & phone number It is the parent s responsibility to pick up their child each day by 3:45. After two late pick-ups your child will be asked not to return to that club and will not receive a refund. If you are contacted twice about your child s behavior becoming a distraction during club, then your child will be asked to not to return to club and will not receive a refund. Please email your child s classroom teacher and the club teacher if your transportation plans should change or if your child will be absent on the day of their club.

If your child misses a session, there will not be an opportunity to make up the class. However, should a session be cancelled by a teacher or due to inclement weather, club teachers will contact you with a makeup date. There will be a supervised snack time at 2:20 at the start of club, so please provide a snack for your child. In effort to avoid traffic backup, students will all be dismissed from the gym using car rider numbers. Please make sure your child knows their car rider number. This speeds up dismissal. For additional information contact the specific club teacher that is in charge of each club. You can find their individual emails on the school s webpage.
