Both in hand and ridden veteran classes are also qualifiers for the Veteran Horse and Pony Riding Club (VHPRC) Championship Show to be held at Leyland Court in September 2018. SYSTON PONY CLUB RULES: 1. The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions and avoid accidents occurring and must obey all instructions given by organisers, stewards, officials or written notices. 2. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the land lord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accidents, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, the contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 3. All non-pony Club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insurance and must have their own Third party cover. The Syston Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-members and their insurance will not cover you. 4. Hard hats to the standard ASTM F1163,PAS015 with chinstrap that must be fastened while mounted. The only exception is the side saddle classes where riders ride in bowlers or top hats entirely at their own risk. 5. The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry, omit a class or make alterations when deemed necessary. 6. Objections in writing within 10mins with 10.00 refunded if upheld. 7. The organisers reserve the right to restrict the number of entries per class, classes will only run with a minimum of 3 competitors. 8. Every effort will be made to avoid classes clashing, it s the competitor s responsibility to present on time. 9. All ridden classes - horses and ponies must be 4yrs and over. 10. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. 11. The judge s decision is final. 12. Pony Club show jumping rules 2018 will apply 13. No stallions to be handled by persons under 14 yrs 14. There will be a photographer at this event, if you don t want your child s image displayed please notify the photographer. 15. Competitors and horses/ponies can only compete in either the open or minimus show jumping ring, not both. 16. No Spurs allowed in the minimums ring. 17. Age of the 1st Jan 2018 18. Show canes must be no longer than 30cms. 19. Jackets must be worn in all ridden showing classes. 20. No spurs to be worn in the veteran or mountain & moorland classes
