ENTRY & GENERAL SHOW INFORMATION 2 1) ENTRIES CLOSE JANUARY 10th. Post entries and new horses accepted as stated on Page 1, except for Cow classes. Entries close for Cow classes on January 10 th for both RBAHA Value Shows & Region 3 Championship Show. Cows MUST be ordered. Entries into Cow classes MUST be made by January 10 th. 2) POST ENTRIES must be made TWO HOURS PRIOR TO START OF THE SESSION. Post entries will be accepted for Morning sessions but MUST be made the night before by 5:00 p.m.; Afternoon sessions MUST be made before 11:00 a.m.; Evening sessions MUST be made before 3:00 p.m. 3) CLASS ADDED TO SESSION IN PROGRESS - Any class entry added to a session in progress will be charge the class entry fee plus $10.00 per class incomplete entry penalty fee. 4) EARLY ARRIVAL / LATE DEPARTURE - $ 20.00 per stall and $20.00 per tack stall will be charged for anyone arriving before Thursday 1/17 or laying over Sunday night 1/20 departing Monday. Be sure to contact Show Manager. 5) TBA (TO BE ANNOUNCED) CLASSES TBA slots are first come, first served basis. TBA class added may have any title. To qualify for AHA programs for Arabian/Half Arabians TBA classes may be any class on the AHA class list (recognized by AHA) with the exception of Dressage, Sport Horse and Cutting classes. To activate a TBA class in the RBAHA Value Show, an exhibitor must name a class and enter the class by paying the class entry fee $45 (see entry fee information on page 1). Once the class has been activated, exhibitors may enter the activated class at the TBA class fee. Activated TBA class list will be posted in the horse show office. To activate a TBA class in the Region III Championship Show, an exhibitor must name a class and enter the class by paying the class entry fee $75 (see entry fee information on page 1). Once the class has been activated, exhibitors may enter the activated class at the TBA class fee. Activated TBA class list will be posted in the horse show office. 6) ALL BREED CLASSES are OPEN to ALL breeds (Arabian, Half Arabian/Anglo Arabian & ANY other Breed). These classes do not count for AHA programs for Arabians & Half Arabian/Anglo Arabian horses. 7) AWARDS RBAHA Value Show - Each class will be awarded two sets of ribbons 1-6 placing (one set - Region 3 / one set - Region 4) REGULAR CLASSES, TBA CLASSES & VALUE SHOW CHAMPIONSHIPS will receive Ribbons Only - first thru sixth place REGION 3 CHAMPIONSHIP COW CLASSES - A FULL TOP FIVE will be awarded to each Regional class regardless of the number of entries in the class. The following will be presented to: Champion Champion Plaque or Award; Champion Ribbon; and Top Five Ribbon Reserve Champion Reserve Champion Top Five Plaque; Reserve Champion Ribbon; and Top Five Ribbon Top Five (remaining 3 Top Five) Top Five Plaque and Top Five Ribbon 8) AHA SHOWS QUALIFICATIONS AND PROGRAMS RBAHA Value Shows count towards AHA qualifications and programs. RBAHA Winter Concurrent AHA Value Show #1A, #2A & #3A qualify for Region 3 and Show #1B, #2B & #3B qualify for Region 4. All three show days qualify for Youth Nationals, Canadian Nationals, US Nationals and Pacific Slopes Show. 9) REFUNDS - Refunds will be considered for any horse suffering from illness or injury upon the presentation of veterinarian's letter to the Show Secretary PRIOR to the start of said show. Refunds due to the illness/injury of the exhibitor or unable to travel to the show due to weather conditions (Oregon or Nevada exhibitors) will be considered and will be subject to the Management s decision. Approved refunds will be made at the show or by mail, approximately 2 weeks after the show. 10) SHOW OFFICE AND REGISTRATION - Registration at the Horse Show Office by the exhibitor is required. The Horse Show Office will be open on Thursday, January 17 th from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. During the show, the office will be open at 7:00 a.m. on Friday & Saturday; 7:30 a.m. on Sunday and remain open until last class of that day. 11) AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT EACH COMPETITOR (THIS INCLUDES AT LEAST ONE RECORDED OWNER & ALL TRAINERS, DRIVERS, RIDERS, HALTER HANDLERS, COACHES AND THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE ENTRY BLANK) IN AN ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED ARABIAN DIVISION, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY INTO A COMPETITION, MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF A VALID AHA MEMBERSHIP/COMPETITION CARD, JOIN AHA OR PAY AN AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP FEE PER COMPETITOR. WHEN AN AGENT SIGNS FOR THE OWNER AT AN AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITION, BOTH THE OWNER AND THE AGENT MUST BE MEMBERS OF AHA OR PAY THE AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP. SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT THE AHA REGIONAL OR NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN WALK-TROT CLASSES ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AT QUALIFYING COMPETITIONS, BUT MUST HAVE AN AHA MEMBERSHIP WITH COMPETITION CARD AT THE AHA REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN LEAD LINE CLASSES OR PARENTS/GUARDIANS SIGNING FOR MINORS ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS. (BOD 5/12) 12) ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT I agree as follows by signing this entry: I choose for myself (or as parent or guardian to permit a junior exhibitor) to participate voluntarily in this competition. I further agree to adhere to the rules set forth in the Arabian Horse Association One Day Show Rules & Guidelines and understand all decisions made by the judge are deemed final and can be protested. 13) US EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION STATEMENT (This applies to Region 3 Off Site Champ Show Only on Saturday, Jan.19, 2019) Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) lead line; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. If qualifying at RB Value Show on Friday for Cow Championship classes, entries MUST be made by 2:00 p.m. Friday January 18 th. IMPORTANT: COWS MUST BE ORDERED, so please enter Reg. 3 Champ cow classes by January 10 th, even if not qualified but planning to qualify at RBAHA Value Show on Friday, January 18 th. Points or score listed on National Class List for Regional Classes must be obtained in the same AHA Section listed in the AHA Standard Class List. The Point system is reflected on the National Class List is implemented for all Regional Classes. WORKING COW / REINED COW / LIMITED REINED COW / HERD WORK The horse is required to have participated in at least ONE class at a Recognized AHA Competition within their respective qualifying section and Region. Participation is defined as entered, shown and scored in that class.
