Classes will take place at 155 West Broadway in Monticello. CLASSES WILL BEGIN WITH PARENT MEETINGS and COSTUME/SHOE MEASUREMENTS ON: September 4 th -6 th for and C Classes, and September 10 th- 12 th for Classes. Competition Teams meetings day/times are yet to be determined. Details will be e-mailed out in late August. Regular dance classes will begin Thursday, September 13 th. Page 2 of 10 Welcome to Lucille Murray s Studio of Dance! We are excited to publish our tentative schedule for the -2019 dance season. Please keep in mind that this information is TENTATIVE. Please pay attention to the UPDATED DATE on page 1, and ALWAYS use the most recent dated version. If we make any changes to a class that your child is registered for during the summer, you will be notified by e-mail. Please note the following: Most of our classes do 1 dance at the winter show, and 2 at the spring recital. However, our hip hop classes do 1 dance at the winter show, and then a different (1) dance at our spring recital. This is due to the fact that they only do one style of dance, that we have several hip hop classes, and that we need to take the length of the show into account. If your child registers for more than 1 recreational class, the less expensive monthly tuition will be reduced to just $26 per month. In order for us to adjust the tuition, please contact the office by e- mail and notify us of the situation. We will then adjust your account accordingly. THE ADDITIONAL CLASS MUST BE FOR THE SAME STUDENT (not siblings). OUR CLASSES WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER 4 th. Any recreational classes in Studio A or C will hold parent meetings and measurement/shoe fittings September 4th. Any recreational classes in Studio B will hold parent meetings and measurement/shoe fittings September 10th. Competition measurement and parent meetings are TBD. Regular classes will begin on Thursday, September 13th. More details will be e-mailed out to registered students in late August. ly tuition is due by the 15 th of each month. A $15 late fee will be applied if tuition is late. Recreational Classes will pay a full month of tuition September through April, and a half month due May 1. NEW THIS YEAR all accounts will be enrolled in autopay. If you want to control when your payment is made, you can make your monthly payment manually any time before the 15 th of the month due date. Payments for all accounts with balances due will be processed on the 15 th of the month. All payments must be made on-line, or submitted to the studio by the due date in the form of a cashier s check or money order. We do NOT accept cash or personal checks. IF YOU PAY WITH CASHIER S CHECK/MONEY ORDER, you must e-mail Lucy to notify her so we do not process your card on file the 15 th of the month. If your payment does not go through, accounts will be charged the $15 late fee. Family members are required to purchase tickets in order to attend our spring recital(s). Tickets will be sold in advance through an outside ticketing agency, as well as at the door on the day of the recitals. If you have more than one child in the program, please note the tentative recital groupings (see page 11). If possible, register your children so they will perform in the SAME recital. Family members who attend more than one recital will need to purchase a ticket for each separate recital. A family registration fee of $20 is due each year. This cost is the same regardless of how many children you are registering in your family. This is how we offer a FAMILY DISCOUNT by taking $20 off for each additional student up front at the time of registration (rather than $1-2 per month). There will likely be a videographer spring recital fee of approximately $20 added to each family s account. Our recitals will be recorded professionally, and each family will receive access to the footage through on-line links that they can also download and save. Due to the advances in technology, this plan could change. We will keep you updated during the season. Approximate/Tentative costume and shoe costs are listed with each class below. These are subject to change. Final pricing will be published in the fall. NEW THIS SEASON: We do have plans to offer a competitive hip hop and contemporary group to our schedule again this season. We are also looking into adding some other small group opportunities for competition dancers to attend for those who are interested. More information to come! PROCEDURES for Solo/Duet/Trio lessons for -2019. Dancers who wish to learn a solo/duet/trio/quad this season will be required to take lessons two times each month October March, and one lesson per month in April. You will need to sign up for a day/time slot and will pay tuition monthly. Teachers will help students select music at private lessons, and will choreograph the routine
Page 3 of 10 for the students. Students will still have input on choreography. A separate contract will be signed for private lesson families. There will also be a separate one-time choreography fee for all private lessons. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL MOST LIKELY HOLD A SEPARATE Solo/Duet/Trio Showcase in the spring (and these dances will NOT be in the regular recitals). E-mail the office with your child s name, day preferences, general time preferences, and instructor preferences to be added to our list for planning purposes. Final slots will be finalized in the fall. Solo slots will begin in October. We offer both Recreational classes and Competitive classes. IF YOUR CHILD IS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN A COMPETITION TEAM, they SHOULD BE DANCING WITH US THIS SUMMER (check out our unlimited technique class system) in our summer packet), and THEY MUST REGISTER for OUR COMPETITION WORKSHOP AND TRY-OUTS on AUGUST 7-9, and 14-15.
