Snorkel Trip to Ha Hei YEAR 7/8 END OF TERM A er 2 postponements, we were rewarded with the most amazing day on Tuesday, for our snorkel trip to Gemstone Bay and walk to Cathedral Cove. The students had a fantas c day and the experience of seeing a variety of Marine life was invaluable. Many thanks to the PARENTS who came on the trip, also Cameron Walker and Rob Wynn who also came in support roles. At all mes the students were safe and supported in their surroundings because of the expert care. Camp Term 2 Camp has been decided and a le er is sent home this week. Please fill out the form and send back a $50 deposit to the office by the end of the first week of school. The camp is compulsory but if for some reason your child can t a end, there will be NO school for them that week. Honours students Please encourage your child to bring home their Honours book. Look through it together and target places where they can work towards ge ng more points. Ideally we would like ALL students to graduate as Honours students a er their 2 years in middle school. OUR VERY OWN EASTER ANGEL At WAS we are so lucky to have a special lady, WENDY GRYLLS, who has a MASSIVE heart and likes to treat people with her beau ful homemade special es. 2 weeks ago she treated the ENTIRE STAFF to a lunch filled with delectable treats, all homemade. This week she has handmade these personal Easter gi packs for every student in year 7/8. As you can imagine, each with 3 Easter eggs they went down a treat! Many thanks to Wendy and her generous spirit and though ulness. People like her make the world a much be er place for us all. STUDENTS OF THE MONTH Student of the month is a new concept to the school. Prior to each Full school assembly staff can nominate a student for either something done at school or something outside of the school which has shown the student to be a high achiever in whatever area of their lives this may be whether at school or outside school.
