Embargoed area The competition area, (limited by the boards orienteering map Tokari ), is embargoed until February 2012 for competitors and team leaders. Classes and participation WCup - W21, M21. All competitors represent a Federation. Each Federation may enter up to 6 women and 6 men in each individual competition. In the mixed sprint relay teams consist of one man and one woman (or two women). Each federation can have a maximum of 2 teams in relays and 3 teams in mixed sprint relays in each class (except for the organizing Federation which may have up to 5 more). If a World Cup Event is arranged in conjunction with a Regional Championships, the reigning regional champions of that region in each format are allowed to compete in the World Cup event of that format in addition to their Federation s quotas. The organizing Federation may enter up to 10 additional national competitors (National Group) for the competition, but these must start prior to the official World Cup competitors and they cannot be awarded World Cup points or medals. In a relay competition, the organizing Federation can enter up to 5 additional national teams but these teams have to start last in the start field and they cannot be awarded World Cup points or medals. ESOC - W21, M21. A federation may enter a maximum of 6 runners in each class in the individual, and 2 teams in each class in the relay event, and 3 teams in each class in the mixed sprint relay event. Only the better team will be counted. The current European champion shall be given wild card to enter in addition to the ordinary entries from his federation: - Tatiana Vlasova RUS, Peter Arnesson SWE - Helene Söderlund SWE, Staffan Tunis FIN - Marte Reenaas NOR, Erik Rost SWE JWSOC - W20, M20. A federation may enter a team of up to 14 competitors, up to 7 women and 7 men. In each individual competition, each federation may enter up to 6 men and 6 women. In the relay each federation may enter up to 2 women and 2 men teams. In both classes, a team score is calculated for each federation in a team competition EYSOC - W17, M17, Each federation may enter 4 runners in each class. All entered runners may run all individual s. The EYSOC-competitors may participate in the JWSOC relay event. WMSOC - W/M 35,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75,80,85. Open for everybody. The start order for the first race will be drawn at random. The start order for the second race will be reverse or the start order in the first race. The combined time of the two races forms the final result OIEUC W/M12,14,16,18,20,21,35,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75. Terrain, climate and daylight The terrain consists of mixed forest with slope high difference up to 30 m with well developed network of paths and roads. Some slopes are steep. Altitude is 350-400 m. The climate is normally wintry with weather ranging from sun to cloudy and snowfall. Average middle temperature for Sumy in February is about -11 C. Waxing facilities: For WCup, ESOC, JWSOC, EYOC and WMSOC: There are limited permanent spaces for ski-waxing in the Ski Center and at the apartments. We can provide few extra waxing cabins in the ski stadium for fee. Small waxing cabin 200 EUR for one week. Big waxing cabin 300 EUR for one week (use entry form B, see web site).

The Organizer provides shuttle transport from accommodation sites to arenas of all races (included in Entry Fee). The timetable of transport to arenas and back will be in Bulletin 4.
