SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS PLEASE READ 2013 Southwest Division Invitational Challenge Texas World Speedway November 2-3, 2013 Sanction Numbers: 13-R-2685-S; 13-R-2686-S I. General A. This event will be held under the 2013 General Competition Rules and all changes published in FASTRACK. B. Participant Accident Insurance is provided as in the SCCA Master Plan. C. The organizers reserve the right to postpone, abandon, or cancel the event or any part of the event. Entry fees will be refunded to those offered no opportunity to compete. D. Each car must be fitted with a working AMB compatible timing transponder SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. E. The Races are scheduled to be held on the 2.9 TWS Track. However, the track configuration may changed to the 1.8 mile configuration by the SOM for any reason including track conditions and or understaffed or unqualified staff per the Chief Steward or petition to the SOM for other reasons. II. Entries A. An entry is not considered complete until the proper fee, as listed on the Official Entry Form, is received. B. Online registration will close by 10pm Wednesday, October 31 st 2013. Entries received by 10pm Wednesday, October 31 st 2013 will be acknowledge by email. C. Refunds will be given on cancellations received by 10 PM Wednesday, October 31 st 2013. Refunds for no-shows are guaranteed, less garage fee. Refunds will also be available to drivers who are verified as not having turned a wheel on the track ONLY if the Registrar is notified during Registration hours. All refunds will be subject to a $25 handling charge. D. SOWDIV permanent numbers will be honored for all entries received by Monday, October 29 th 2013. Duplicates will be honored on a 1 st come / first served basis. E. The Region reserves the right to reject any entry, and the SOM can modify the Schedule of Events depending on the number of entries received as provided for in the GCR. J. No Pets are allowed at TWS. K. All drivers of motorized vehicles must possess a valid driver s license to operate. L. Skateboards, rollerblades, push scooters and roller skates are not allowed. M. The main TWS gate will be open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM Thursday. TWS will be charging a $15 per vehicle fee Thursday ONLY, unless you are doing the TWS Test Day on Friday. The Back Gate for big rigs will be opened on request during regular gate hours. Contact the Security Officer at the Main Gate for access. There is no track access (in or out) outside of the track gate hours. N. Pits: Access to the wall between the track and the pits is under the control of the Chief Pit Marshall. Crews may stay at the wall during an event for timing and signaling purposes only. VI. Other A. The Race Chairman, Chief Steward and other race officials will normally be near the gate between the paddock and pit lane. The SOM s will be located in the Media / Registration room near Tech. B. Novice Permit Drivers must have a prominent X on back and both sides of their car. C. Competitors who have mechanical problems and need to test their race car at speed may be allowed a hardship lap at the discretion of the Chief Steward. D. Grids, results and trophies will be available at the Drivers Lounge, located at the end of the Tech Garage. E. Race control uses 151.625 and 151.925 MHz radio frequencies. F&C uses FRS Channel 14, Code 10. Do not use any of these for team communications. F. Drivers shall be held financially responsible for damage done to TWS Facilities. III. Registration A. Registration will be inside the track at the Registration Room at the end of Garage 1 next to Tech opposite the Driver s Lounge. B. The Registrar will not issue crew passes to persons not listed on the entry blank. IV. Safety and Tech Inspection A. Annual Helmet Stickers will be checked at GRID. B. No smoking or engines running in Tech garage. C. Before presentation at Tech, all items on the tech card must be filled out down through official weight and wheelbase and the event page in the vehicle logbook must be filled out. D. Sound Control: Sound Control Readings will be posted in Tech. E. Any car involved in an accident or metal to metal contact with another car may be asked to report to Tech at the end of that session. F. Lost and found is at Tech V. Paddock A. Only rented garages assigned by Registration may be used. Garage assignment sheets will be posted at TECH and Registration. If you park in an unassigned garage, you will be required to move or pay $100 upon request. Chose your garage space when you do online registration. B. Each trailer inside the fenced garage area is allowed one support vehicle regardless of the number of race cars inside. C. If you have rented a garage, you will be allowed only one support vehicle inside the fenced garage area. No motor homes are allowed in the fenced garage area. Trailers may be stored outside of the fenced garage paddock area. D. Those wishing to paddock on the back road must park all support vehicles off the pavement. Race cars will be allowed on the pavement, but a 16 foot fire lane must remain open in the center of the road. Only one support vehicle will be allowed adjacent to the pavement, others must be parked elsewhere. E. Please keep the paddock area clean by using the trash containers. F. No car engines may be started or run in enclosed garages and no engines to be started inside the track between 10PM & 6AM. G. Maximum speed limit in the paddock is 10 mph. H. No fluids will be drained onto pavement or ground. Contain all fluids and depose at the Dump site across from the fuel pumps. Oil dry must be applied IMMEDIATELY to all spills. I. Driving stakes into the asphalt is prohibited.
