SP Science Explosion HYDROPONICS SCIENCE SHOW As part of the Prep Schools' Science Explosion earlier this week, the boys from the Senior Primary were treated to a scientific display from some Scientists from UKZN. They had the boys captivated and amazed while they conducted a variety of experiments; from creating explosions and colour changing liquids, to the much anticipated elephants toothpaste! Thank you to the UKZN Science Department for taking the time to share your knowledge with our boys!

SCIENCE FAIR On Tuesday morning our Senior Primary boys put their various projects on display at the Science Fair. Dingo Show Our boys were completely captivated earlier this week by some unusual visitors on campus a tarantula, baby alligator and some snakes to name a few! SCRUMMIES Grade 7 Amazing Race with St John s D.S.G. Earlier this week the Grade 7s from St Charles College and St John s D.S.G. came together for an Amazing Race challenge around the SCC campus. Split into teams, the boys and girls had a fantastic morning following clues and completing a variety of fun challenges and tasks.

Grade 7 Dinner The annual Grade 7 dinner was held in the Prep Library on Thursday evening, 22 November. This special occasion takes the form of a formal dinner enjoyed by the boys and the Prep teachers. This year the library was kitted out with an incredible around the world theme. The décor, put together by the Grade 7 Moms, added significantly to what was a very special evening. Over dinner, many chats were enjoyed as proud teachers got to engage with boys whom they have seen grow through the years. Some fun certificates were handed out to the boys that instigated some good laughter. Christmas Outreach We would like to say a very big thank you to everybody who has contributed to our collection so far. We still have the weekend to go and together we can make a big difference. These donations will go to Amy Biehl children s crèche in Woodlands, who help many families in the Woodlands area with a weekly soup kitchen, as well as supporting many of the older ladies in the area. We will also be sending items to Thandi house and Esther house. Mrs Angie Mayo
