Chinooks Training Initiatives Develop your passion for the game! Technical Training Our technical training is designed to focus on establishing composure, confidence and creativity on the ball. The curriculum is structured to explore micro-tactics and technical themes that include; ball mastery, passing, finishing, heading, tackling and more Technical training is directly provided by our dedicated Technical Directors and highly qualified trainers Athletic Training We at Chinooks pride ourselves on providing comprehensive athletic training to our athletes. Chinooks recognize the importance of athletic development not only in sport but for a healthy lifestyle Athletic training is designed to complement technical training and works on the core endurance of the player Keeper Training Chinooks recognizes the need to develop their Keepers. Indoor 2010/11 Program Fees Explained The choice is yours, make it Chinooks Explanation of Fees Chinooks believe in a tiered fee structure and cost recovery model. Fees are based on the amount of training received with all costs going to player development Mandatory Fees Registration, Academy, Volunteer and Jersey fees, as listed below, are all mandatory fees unless otherwise noted below 1. Registration Fee: Payable at time of registration 2. Academy Fee: Due October 15, 2010 for tiers 1-6, once the team selection process is complete and team placements are announced. Fees are in accordance with the published training levels of the placement tiers. If you chose to register and pay online, the Academy Fee will be charged to your credit card on October 15, 2010. Academy Fees pay for coaches honorariums, additional practice team time and comprehensive technical and athletic training. U8 and U10 academy fees are included in the registration fee. NOTE: Non-payment of Academy Fees will result in removal of the player from the team roster and addition of the player to the Do Not Release List. The player will become ineligible to play for his/her current team as well as any other team until the fee is paid in full. 3. Volunteer Fee: Please review our Volunteer Program from our Website under About Us from the main menu. To view the available volunteer opportunities at Chinooks, please go to our Website and choose About Us from the main menu and click on Volunteer Opportunities. If you chose to register and pay online, the Volunteer Fee will be charged to your credit card on November 15, 2010. *The Volunteer Fee excludes all U8 and U10* 4. Jersey Deposit Fee: Chinooks requires a cheque postdated to the end of the season of play from each player s parent/ guardian (members) to issue a jersey(s) to a player. Return of the jersey(s) is required at the end of the season. If the jersey(s) is not returned, the cheque will be cashed. If you chose to register and pay online, the Jersey Deposit Fee will be charged to your credit card on March 31, 2011 3
Additional Fees: 1. New Player Kit (Optional) Available for new players to the Chinooks organization, a New Player Kit consists of: Chinook athletic bag Chinook soccer ball Black shorts Black socks Kits are purchased at time of registration or prior to the published close date on our Website at the start of each season. (Refer to our Chinooks Calendar). You will be given a New Player Kit voucher at the start of each season by your team s manager. New Player Kits must be picked up at Fisher s Soccer Shack 2. Keeper Fee: Assessed to non-registered Chinooks Goalie Keepers only and due prior to the Goalie Keeper Evaluation in September, this is a non-refundable fee. This fee will be applied to the player s total fees due, if full registration with Chinooks should result. This is open only to players who have not previously played for Chinooks 3. Track Suit: Chinooks track suits may be purchased up to the published close date on our Website at the start of each season. We have two club tracksuits: 1) Umbro Nou Camp Red it may be purchased as a full suit only. Separates cannot be purchased. No exceptions 2) Traditional Black full suits may be purchased or pants and jacket may be purchased separately Gently used pants and jackets may also be available in this style. Please contact the office for availability NOTE: It is mandatory for all players at the tier 1 and 2 levels to purchase a team tracksuit 4

Sessions are optional NOTE: U8: 4 academy sessions included in Registration Fee ($ 50.00) U10: 12 academy sessions included in Registration Fee ($160.00) **Refer To The Chinooks Refund Policy Online at www.chinooksoccer.com** KidSport Since the launch in 1995, KidSport Alberta has assisted more than 27,000 kids to become involved in sports programs who would not have been able to afford to play without the help of KidSport. More than $4.1 million has been distributed to assist kids in pursuing their dreams in sports. Chinooks is active in the KidSport program. The program has assisted hundreds of children who otherwise would not be able to play soccer for Chinooks. Once you have filled out your KidSport 5
Application, please bring it by the Chinooks Office. A Chinook representative at the office is required to sign the application form where it then can be faxed to KidSport for processing.
