TUMBLE 'N DANCE SPRING RECITAL 2019 "A Trip Around The World SPRING RECITAL PERFORMANCES : Tickets are required! Dates & Location: Saturday, June 1 @ Henry County Performing Arts Center Recital performances at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSALS : Date & Location: Tues., May 28 @ Henry County Performing Arts Center Dress Rehearsal for the 11:00 a.m. Recital is from 5:00-6:45 p.m. on Tues., May 28. Dress Rehearsal for the 2:00 p.m. Recital is from 7:00-8:45 p.m. on Tues., May 28. COMPETITION SHOWCASE : Performers are all Teams & Apprentice dancers. Mon., June 3 @ 6:00 p.m. at the Henry County Performing Arts Center Tickets are required! SPRING RECITAL : The Spring Recital is an optional performance that culminates our instructional year. We will have a mandatory dress rehearsal for each of our Spring Recital performances at the Henry Co. PAC. Please note that all 2 dress rehearsals will be held on Tues., May 28 and will begin as early as 5:00 p.m. Therefore, it s recommended that you plan accordingly, by making prior work/family arrangements to have your child in attendance at this very important dress rehearsal! All class recital performance assignments are listed on page 3 & 4 of this notice. We hope all students will choose to perform in the Spring Recital. If your child will NOT be participating, please return the Non-Participation Notice, found on the final page of this document, on or before January 19, 2019. COSTUMES : All students will wear company-made costumes ordered by Tumble N Dance, along with suntan tights for the Spring Recital. Each costume is $70.00. Students perform all disciplines for the Spring Recital; however, our 1 hour combination classes for our youngest students will only perform one dance discipline, ballet or tap, and a gymnastics number in the Spring Recital. This is due primarily to the age and attention span of the younger children and what they can best handle successfully. Therefore, these classes will need one costume for ballet or tap and one costume for gymnastics, a total of two costumes. All other Ballet & Tap classes will wear one costume that will function as a two-in-one costume for both their ballet and tap routines. *Ballet/ Jazz + Gymnastics Combination classes will have two costumes; a ballet costume + jazz/gymnastics costume. Hip Hop students will wear the same costume as the gymnastics class in which most of the students participate. Therefore, some hip hop students will be charged for an additional costume for the recital. All Competition Teams and Apprentice will get a new ballet costume for the recital. Pointe students will put together a costume per Ms. Tiana s specifications. This will be announced soon. See Ms. April if you have any questions concerning costumes. Costume pictures for each class will be displayed the week we return from Christmas Break. 1 costume = $70.00 2 Costumes = $140.00 3 Costumes = $210.00 30 minute classes = 1 costume 1 hour Combination Class = 2 costumes *45 minute classes = 1 costume 1.5 hour Combination Class = 2 costumes MALE PERFORMERS : At Tumble N Dance we appreciate and respect our male students. Therefore we strive to select masculine type show costumes/attire for them. Their recital choreography will be age and gender appropriate. COSTUME MEASUREMENTS : Measurements for the Recital costumes will be taken the week of January 14-19. We will allow for 2 "generous" inches of growing room for all performers. If you child is absent during measurement week, they can be measured the following week or you can phone in your child s measurements. Any alterations of costumes are the parent s responsibility.
COSTUME DEPOSIT & PAYMENTS : A 50% costume deposit is due no later than SATURDAY, JANUARY 19 BY 12:30 P.M. from all students who will be participating in the recital. Costumes will only be ordered for those who ve paid the costume deposit! Therefore, please budget ahead of time to allow for the costume deposit which is due JAN.19. The remaining costume balances are due by Saturday, March 16. A second and final costume order will be made for newly enrolled students (as of Jan. 7, 2019) and for those who didn t pay the deposit by the deadline. Again, if we do NOT receive the 50% deposit or the Second/Final Costume Order full payment, then costume(s) will NOT be ordered for your child. As a courtesy, please return the NON-PARTICIPATION FORM if your child won t be participating! * NOTE: There are absolutely NO REFUNDS or CREDITS for costume deposits or payments, tuition, tights, tickets, program books, and/or performance fees. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! THE SECOND/FINAL ORDER OF COSTUMES IS DUE BY SATURDAY, JANUARY 26 @ 12:30 p.m. THIS WILL BE THE ABSOLUTE LAST ORDER FOR THE 2019 RECITAL! There are two stipulations to this Second/Final Order of costumes and there are NO EXCEPTIONS 1. All costumes must be PAID IN FULL. NO partial payments will be accepted! 2. All Second/Final Order Costume Payments are due in full by SAT., JAN. 26 NO EXCEPTIONS! RECITAL PERFORMANCE FEES : Each student performing in the Spring Recital and/or dress rehearsal will be assessed a performance fee of $65.00. This fee covers the cost of facility rental, instructional, security & technical staff of the Henry Co. PAC, scenery/special lightning, trophies, special awards, three admission tickets, a mom s backstage pass, and the overall production costs for a quality performance. The recital fee is due by Sat., Apr. 13 and is a separate fee from costumes. If you need additional tickets for the recital, they can be purchased in advance or at the door, as tickets are available, for $10.00. All persons attending the Spring Recital must have a ticket for admission, including parents. Performers in costume do not need a ticket. Teams & Challenge: Your performance fee is $65.00 and will cover 2 admittance tickets to the spring recitals and 3 admittance tickets to the competition showcase. COMPETITION SHOWCASE : Tumble N Dance Competition Teams & Apprentice would like to invite everyone to their 7th Annual Competition Showcase Extravaganza. All Teams & Apprentice will be performing their 2019 competition entries, including groups, solos, and duets, during the showcase. The Showcase will be held at the Henry County Performing Arts Center on Mon., June 3 @ 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 and will be sold in advance and at the door as tickets are available. Don t miss this special night of entertainment and see all the talented and committed competition dancers from Tumble N Dance. SPRING RECITAL PICTURES : AGAIN FOR 2019...Group pictures of each class will be taken in their costumes during their regular classes in the month of May. The exact dates for group pictures will be announced in late April. These group pictures will be featured in the Spring Recital Program Book. AGAIN FOR 2019...Individual pictures will be held at Tumble N Dance, by sign-up only, on a separate date from group pictures. Dates and more information TBA.
