MMHS Eagle HighFLIGHTS: 9-12-16 *Girls Tennis: The Lady Golden Eagles Tennis Team had two great wins against Uintah on August 30 and Salem Hills on Sept 1. Varsity #1 singles Hattie Roney fought through a tough 3 set match to win against Salem while #2 singles Abby Crandall and #3 KC Rose won in straight sets. Newcomers to the Varsity team Jesse Dean/Ashlyne Hovey served and volleyed both wins at #2 Doubles. The JV Team won both matches as well. Good job! *Lady Golden Eagles Tennis Beat Payson and Spanish Fork: MMHS Girls Tennis continued their winning streak as they beat Payson 4 to 1 on September 6th. Hattie Roney, Abby Crandall and KC Rose, singles, dominated their opponents while 2nd Doubles Jesse Dean/Ashlyn Hovey quickly beat their opponent in straight sets. On Sept. 8th 1st Doubles team Addie Edwards/Brittany Reese went 3 sets for a victory over Spanish Fork using home court advantage to beat the Dons. Hattie Roney, 1st singles, came from behind in the first set to beat SF in a thrilling match of mental toughness and 3rd Singles, KC Rose, was off the court first in a concise victory of 6-1, 6-0. Congratulations tennis team! MMHS Information: (September 12 September 24) *For more school information, please go to our school website at: https://mmhs.nebo.edu Follow Maple Mountain High School on Facebook for school news updates! Find the page at http://on.fb.me/1jfdf51. Also feel free to Share the Facebook page to keep grandparents, family, and friends up to date on our great school! *Parent/Teacher Conferences: Our first Parent/Teacher Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 21 st from 3:30-7:30 pm in the auxiliary gym. We invite parents and students to attend this informative conference to check on academic progress, attendance, citizenship, and any other questions you may have regarding your student s school experience. If you cannot make this conference, you may always e-mail your student s teachers from their SIS student summary area (located at the bottom of the summary report is your student s teacher s e-mail information). *Attendance Information: This year you may excuse your students by e-mailing our attendance secretary, Cheryl Davis, cheryl.davis@nebo.edu. If students have problems with their attendance, they will receive an NC Notice every Wednesday. Please have your student follow through with you and have you call to get these absences excused.

Anytime you excuse an absence or wonder if an NC was cleared, just pull up your student s SIS Student Summary and check their citizenship grade. If there is an S listed, then everything is clear. If there is an NC listed, there is a problem, so just click on the NC and you can view attendance struggles for that class, then you can call and excuse. Remember that once you have excused an absence, it takes 24-hours for SIS to update. Unless you need to check-out your student immediately, you may leave a message to excuse your student s absence. Our attendance secretary checks her voicemails throughout the day and can take care of your requests promptly. *Josten s Visit: SENIORS: Attention Seniors: Jostens will be at MMHS tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13 from 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM by the counseling office to take your cap, gown, announcement, class ring and Senior gear orders.
