GENERAL SHOW CONDITIONS 34 th Annual Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association Summer Slide Arrival and Check-In: After 7:00 AM, Saturday, July 21 Office Opens at 9:00 AM Regular stalls are $175 for the entire show or $50 per night. All stalls in the main barn will be full price regardless of the number of nights used. Stalls by the night will not be assigned in the main barn. Feed and bedding are available for purchase on the grounds. Preorder shavings to have them delivered to your stalls. Shavings splits and changes to shavings orders must be made in the show office on the day you arrive. Refunds will be made for any unopened bags that are returned. Show tabs will be put in the name of the responsible party as listed on the entry form. Social Security number or tax ID must be provided to the show office. Government 1099 forms will be issued accordingly, unless specified otherwise at the show. Premium checks will be issued in the name of the responsible party as listed on the show tab. No changes to 1099 s will be permitted after the last day of the show. A form of payment must accompany each show tab from the person listed as the responsible party in the form of Cash, Credit Card, or personal check. There is a 3.5% processing fee for all credit card transactions, and a $50.00 fee on all returned checks. Class Entries will not be accepted without competition license and required association membership. All class entries close at 5:00 PM the night preceding the class (except futurity classes, see futurity conditions). You may still enter if class is closed, however you will either go First or Last, to be drawn for you in the show office. Online entries will be accepted until approximately 1 hour prior to the start of the class. Late entries will be accepted in the show office until the start of the class. NO phone entries will be accepted. Online entries will stay open through the end of the show. Stallion/Gelding/Mare Warm-up Class Rules: Horses must be of correct gender. Any horse may be shown once. May be ridden one or two handed in any NRHA legal bit or NRHA legal snaffle or hackamore. No training equipment allowed in the show arena. Time limit to be determined per the number of entries. Will be timed by the announcer starting when the horse has walked through the gate. Exhibitor will be excused from the arena at the end of the allotted time. If a competitor enters more than one class that does not run concurrently, the competitor will be required to show in each class. All prizes are awarded on an as-is basis and are non-refundable. All judges decisions are final. Class drags are determined pursuant to NRHA rules and as determined by show management. No changes to the assigned drags will be made after class draws are finalized. No dogs are permitted on the National Western Complex grounds. The City and County of Denver Code Enforcement Officers are able to write tickets to owners for any dogs found on the grounds of the National Western Complex. A 30 day health certificate written by a veterinarian at the point of origin to be presented upon arrival at the National Western Complex. Health certificate must accompany the horse. Release of Liability: All participants are fully aware, completely understand and accept that participation in the RMRHA Summer Slide (the Event ) whether as a contestant, employee, volunteer, exhibitor, sponsor, or spectator is dangerous and that the events and activities associated with, relating to, arising out of and concerning this participation present substantial, serious and real risks of personal injury or death to the undersigned participant and the loss of, damage to, or destruction of the undersigned participant s personal property. Under Colorado Law, an equine professional including RMRHA, is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 13-21-119 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. All participants by entering this event fully and completely assume these substantial, serious and real risks whether or not apparent, known, unknown, foreseen, unforeseen, present or contingent, and the design or designing, staging, supervising, maintaining or in any way presenting, conducting or sponsoring the Event. By entering this Event, all participants agree to waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless RMRHA, it s agents and employees from all claims, damages, losses, injuries and expenses arising out of or resulting from participation in the Event. All participants further agree to release, acquit and covenant not to sue RMRHA, it s agents and employees for all actions, causes of actions, damages or damages in law or remedies in equity of whatever kind. Summer Slide Futurity Conditions Divisions offered: Open 4-1, Non Pro Levels 4-1. All show conditions will apply to the futurity when applicable. The futurity will adhere to NRHA rules with the following additions: 1. Eligibility for the futurity will be limited to foals of 2015. This is an NRHA category 2 approved event. 2. Horses may be shown two handed in a NRHA legal snaffle or hackamore or one handed in any NRHA legal bit at rider s discretion. 3. The Open divisions of the futurity will be run separate from the Non Pro divisions of the futurity. Scores from the Non Pro Futurity cannot be used in the Open Futurity. The first go will be Wednesday and the finals is scheduled for Saturday. 4. In order to enter any division below Level 4, You must enter the next step up, i.e. to enter Level 3, you must enter Level 4, in order to enter Level 2, you must enter Level 3, etc. 5. Cross entries must run in both the open and non pro divisions. 6. In all Open divisions, the top 25% of entries but not less than 30 head will return for the finals based on first go scores. A minimum of 25% or a minimum of 15 entries will return in all Non Pro divisions. This is a clean slate finals. 7. All prizes for all divisions will be awarded Saturday, after scores have been verified. 8. Paybacks will be awarded 40% on the first go and 60% on the finals. RMRHA will retain 40% of entry fees. 9. Entries are due July 13, 2018 by 6:00 PM Mountain Time. Late entries will be accepted with a $150 per horse late charge until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24. The draw will be posted after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24. 10. For concurrent classes, only one judges fee is required per run. The highest judges fee in the set of concurrent classes will apply. 11. Refunds: If scratched prior to July 21, 2018 a refund will be granted for all entry fees minus the office fee. No refunds for Futurity entries after July 21. Divisions Offered: - Open Level 4 - Non Pro Level 4 All show conditions shall apply to the Stallion Stakes when applicable. The Stallion Stakes will adhere to NRHA and RMRHA Futurity rules with the following changes: 1. This is a NRHA category 6 approved event. RMRHA will retain 40% of entry fees 2. In the Open and Non Pro divisions, the top 25% of entries will return for the finals based on first go scores. A minimum of 30 entries will return to a clean slate finals in the Open Division and 15 in the Non Pro division. 3. Gelding Incentive: A special gelding incentive will be paid to the high scoring gelding in the Stallion Stakes Open ($500) and the Stallion Stakes Non Pro ($250) Futurity. High score can be achieved in either the first go or the finals, not a composite score. 4. Late Stallion Eligibility: Stallion owners wishing to ensure the get of their stallions are eligible for the current year s Stallion Stakes Futurity, must nominate and pay no later than June 1, 2018. The cost is one and one half times the advertised stud fee the year the foal was conceived not to exceed $2,000. Late Stallion Eligibility after June 1 but before the Futurity is $4,000. The Sire Award for 2018 is $6,356 and is split 50/50 between the nominators of the Open and Non Pro winning get. 6.
