October 28th, 2016 WCV Middle B Day *LUNCH MENU Friday, October 28 th Toasted Cheese Sandwich, Tomato Soup, Saltines, Carrots, & an Apple Monday, October 31 st Chicken Fajita w/lettuce & Cheese, Refried Beans, Cauliflower, & Oatmeal Cake Tuesday, November 1 st Pork Chop, Mashed Potatoes, Coleslaw, Peaches, & One Slice of Bread w/butter Update in lunch options for the Middle Kitchen News from Mrs. Otto Starting in October, Tuesday and Thursday kids will have the option of a ham Or turkey wrap in place of the main dish. Also on Wednesday they can replace main dish with a Salad. Please have your student look in the Cafeteria for signup sheet. Hot for regular lunch, Cold for main dish option. We will explain this to the kids next week in further detail. Advisory @ 2:25p Gathering. *Parents just a reminder to please check the lunch account balances for your students. If the account is Free & Reduced and you notice a balance due on the account, this is because your student took a second meal/beverage or they declined a meal and chose to purchase a beverage. A beverage by itself is not covered by the Free & Reduced Program either is a second meal/beverage. Please post a payment to bring the accounts up to date or send funds with your child to school and we will apply the payments for you. If the lunch account maintains a -$10 balance, the child is provided a peanut butter sandwich & milk each day until the account is up to date. Thank You Parents for updating your lunch accounts. Bus Passes: Due to fully loaded buses, Passes will not be issued until further notice. Thank-You. Student Council Save The Date Dance Friday, October 28 th more details to come. WCV MS Cross Country All MS XC runners who wish to attend the State SC Send-off assembly today, Friday October 28, 2016; you will be dismissed at 2:40p, leave in front of the school at 25p and be at the High by 3:10p. Heather Godwin-Pote and Jenyse Belden are driving you and will drop you off at basketball practice or back in Dexter or Redfield after the assembly if needed. WCV Middle Continued Note from Principal Lohse: This coming Wednesday 10/26/16 is an early dismissal and the end of the 1 st quarter. We will not be mailing the grades home but they will be available to pick up next week during parent teacher conferences on Tuesday 11/1/16 and Thursday 11/3/16 from 4-8. You can always check the grades online through JMC too and if you have not been set up for that, Therese is happy to assist you. Give her a call at the office 515-833-2331. Dance: Friday, October 28 th from 7p 9p. PLEASE be sure to make arrangements to be here at 8:45 to pick up your children. We have great staff members that volunteer their Friday nights for these events but really don t want to be here much later than 9:00 watching your kids. The doors open at 7:00 so also please do not drop you kids off sooner than 6:50. If you kid is not at school on Friday, they cannot attend the dance that night. Also it is a casual dance so no need to go out and buy new clothes. This is not a Halloween dance either so no costumes. dress code is still in effect.
