Chapter Inc. #5559 Sponsored by: Uke s Harley Davidson/Buell 5995 120th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53144 262.857.UKES February is an exciting month around here for not being able to ride! First off we have some exciting news Uke s is a 2017 Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award WINNER! This award is one of the highest recognition offered but the Motor Company and is only given to the top 25 Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country. The award is based on an evaluation of customer service and satisfaction, excellent quality levels in motorcycle and related product sales, our facility, skilled and well trained staff and overall operations. We have worked very hard to achieve this goal in 2017 and we would like to say thank you for your continued support. Jeff and James will be racing during Flat Out Friday on February 23 rd. We will have a huge Uke s section there cheering them on! If you can t be there in person it will be streamed on Facebook Live on the Harley-Davidson page, which we will link to on Uke s page. It is even fun to cheer them on at home so please tune in! Riding Academy sign up has started. If you have friends or family interested in signing up now is the time. Just a reminder - Military and First Responders (and spouses) only pay $99. Happy Anniversary to the following HOG members celebrating their marriage in the month of February submitted by Joan Lesko 2 Curt & Laura DeBruin 14 Mick & Tami Bosovich 6 Bruce & Cindy Montry 14 Jerry & Sheryl Brandes 14 Rick & Carolyn Bidlack 14 Todd & Jacqueline Clifford Warm Winter Wishes to All! So, not sure about you, but I'm sick of winter! Riding season needs to return for much needed wind therapy. The 2018 Stamp book is off and running. We've already received 4-5 new business advertisers! Unfortunately I've also received a couple of existing advertisers that are unable to place an ad this year due to circumstances. Keep hitting up businesses for interest to join our stamp book!! Let's really focus on increasing our advertisers to at least 80! If we work together as a group we can most certainly achieve this!! As always please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc at 262-902-7823 or email me at This_is_reality@hotmail.com. See you at the next meeting. Beth Cleveland February 2018 Membership Minutes January has started off to a great start. Many members attended the January meeting and had their 2018 membership forms filled out with checks or cash in hand. Much appreciated to all who renewed their Kenosha HOG memberships for 2018. We are still missing a large number of members that need to pay their dues for 2018 so let s get those form completed and your checks made out to Kenosha HOG and get you on my list as renewed for 2018! Please note that you MUST also be a National HOG member to be part of the Kenosha HOG group. Make sure you have your National HOG membership renewed as well if needed. All Full and Associate embers need to be National HOG Members. The cost is the same as it was the last few years, Full members are $20.00 and Associate members are $15.00 As of March meeting if you have not renewed your membership you will not receive the monthly newsletters. See you all this Saturday night for our next meeting and remember to bring your pot luck dish to pass Call or email me anytime with any questions Gary Quedenfeld garyquedenfeld@sbcglobal.net or cell 847 226 1759 Happy Belated Groundhog Day! Hope to see everyone at game night. The road captains and I are busy scheduling rides for this upcoming season. If you are connected to the Kenosha HOG google calendar you will find all the known rides listed. Some have details and many have details to come. These will be updated as information becomes available. Hopefully during the main riding season, at least once a week. Keep your ideas coming and be on the lookout for impromptu rides on the calendar as well. We are also looking into some changes for the Memorial Ride. Keep the rubber side safe until we can put it to the road. Gym 2
