They include dark green, red/orange, beans, starchy, and other vegetables. We offer all 5 of these subgroups in school. Encourage your child to try a variety from all of these subgroups at home, so they are also more likely to choose these healthy options at school! Please join us for A Night in New York, New York - a fundraising gala event to benefit the theatre arts at Liberty High School. The event will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, from seven o clock to nine-thirty in the evening in the grand foyer of Liberty High School. Saturday, March 14, 2015 Northeast Fundraiser 31 Bingo Kira from Northeast's Leaders Rock is having a 31 Bingo to benefit the Bethlehem Kidney Clinic patients. The event will be held on March 14, 2015 at Northeast Middle School in the cafeteria. Doors will open at 12 noon and the games begin at 1:00 pm. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. SFN is a free, familyoriented, event open to all members of the community. Dress like a bee, see live animals, make slime, or even sample ice cream from the famous liquid nitrogen room. Saturday, March 21, 2015 FHS National Honor Society s Annual Easter Egg Hunt The Freedom High School chapter of the National Honor Society will be holding our annual Easter Egg Hunt for staff and their families on Saturday, March 21 on the Football Field at FHS starting at 10 AM. There will be two age groups: one for 4 years and under and a second for 5 to 10 years old. All you need to bring is a basket or bag for carrying your eggs. There is no fee whatsoever, but donations are gratefully accepted. In case of inclement weather, the Hunt will take place in the Main Lobby of FHS. April 2-28 - BASD Student Art Show - A Colorful Experience: Art in the Public Schools Come visit the Bethlehem City Hall Rotunda Gallery during the month of April for our BASD student art show. The show will be on display from April 2 until April 28 during regular city hall hours. Please attend the opening reception on April 12, 2015, from 2-4 pm. This show will feature work by students from K-12. In the exhibit you will see but a small part of the wonderful body of artwork produced by the many children in our classrooms on a daily basis. This event is made possible with the help of the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission and the BASD art teachers. Saturday, April 11, 2015 BASD mini-thon This year s BASD mini-thon will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10 am 10 pm at Liberty High School. Come and join the fun while supporting a great fundraiser. There will be something for everyone! To celebrate this accomplishment, and the children of our community, we invite you to join us (rain or shine) on Saturday, April 18, 2014 from 11 am-3 pm for a day of food, fun, family, crafts, entertainment, laughter--and, of course, literacy! The event will take place at 511 East Third Street. There will be an indoor and outdoor stage. This year we will also be saying "Happy Tenth Birthday" to the Northampton Community College Fowler Family Southside Center--the home of Cops 'n' Kids. If you want to join the planning committee for this special event, or if you are interested in having your students perform, please contact Tammy Giampapa at tgiampapa@basdschools.org for more information.
