Our Club is situated in the coastal township of Woorim on the eastern side of Bribie Island, which offers a relaxed escape from the busy areas of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Established in 1969, the Club has grown to become one of Queensland s highly respected championship courses and host to a number of significant professional and amateur events, such as the recent Australian Junior Boys Championship. Prices are effective for the period 1 st January to 31 st December: Subscription 2 Ordinary Member $1,095.00 1 Country Member $ 435.00 Limited Playing Member $ 345.00 3 (Green Fees Apply at 50% off full visitor rates) Temporary Member $ 215.00 (min. 1 month to max. 3 months) per month Intermediate Member $ 430.00 Junior Member $ 245.00 Social Member $ 5.50 If joining as an Ordinary Member, you have the option of paying your Annual Subscription component either half yearly 4 or monthly via direct deposit 5 1 All annual subscriptions are pro-rated by the month except the Joining Fee component of $100.00 per year and the Affiliation Fee component (approx.. $60.00). This Subscription fee includes a joining fee of $100.00 per year for the first three (3) years, or part thereof, of membership. 2 All Subscriptions include the relevant Affiliation Fees where applicable. 3 Green Fees still apply - the member will receive a 50% discount off the Green Fee Rack Rates. Current 18 hole rack rate is $44.00, so a Limited Member would pay $22.00 for 18 holes plus any competition fee applicable. 4 Attracts a fee of $10.00 per half year. 1 st instalments will be $607.50 and 2 nd instalment will be $452.50 (total fee paid of $1,060.00). Note that all Affiliation fees must be paid upfront in the 1 st instalment which is included in the quoted instalment amount above. 5 Monthly direct deposit requires a form to be completed and attracts a monthly fee of $5.00. 1 st instalment will be $228.75 followed by eleven instalments of $78.75 (total fee paid of $1,100.00). Note that all Affiliation fees must be paid upfront in the 1 st instalment which is included in the quoted instalment amount above. Provisional Member Provisional Membership opens when Ordinary membership limits are reached for each gender. As a Provisional member, you will enjoy the following benefits: Unrestricted access to play in all male, female or mixed competitions, Full use of course, practice facilities and clubhouse on a daily basis; Golf Australia handicap maintained by Club; Access to special member discounts and bonuses; Country Member As a Country member, your normal place of residence must be more than two hundred kilometres from Bribie Island Golf Club and you will enjoy the following benefits: Unrestricted access to play in all male, female or mixed competitions, Full use of course, practice facilities and clubhouse on a daily basis; Golf Australia handicap maintained by Club, unless it is held at another club; Access to special member discounts and bonuses; No voting rights; and Not eligible to hold office on the Board or otherwise take part in the management of the Club. Junior Member A Junior member, is a person who is aged under 18 years. As a junior member, you will enjoy the following benefits: Unrestricted access to play in all male, female or mixed competitions, Full use of course and practice facilities; Full access to the clubhouse on a daily basis, however, are not permitted to use the Member s Bar, or to purchase or be supplied with alcoholic beverages; Golf Australia handicap maintained by Club; No Entrance Fee; No voting rights and not eligible to hold office on the Board or otherwise take part in the management of the Club. Temporary Member A Temporary member, is admitted for a period not exceeding three (3) months in any calendar year. As a temporary member, you will enjoy the following benefits: You must be a member of another Golf Club; Unrestricted access to play in all male, female or mixed competitions, Full use of course, practice facilities and clubhouse on a daily basis; No Golf Australia handicap maintained by Club, unless you hold a current handicap from a club outside Australia; Access to special member discounts and bonuses; Not permitted to compete in Honour Board events; No voting rights; and Not eligible to hold office on the Board or otherwise take part in the management of the Club. Each club has agreed to offer golfing opportunities at their venues for members of the other participating clubs by way of Bay Golf Invitational events on selected days. The fee for you to attend and play at these clubs will be the host clubs daily competition fee only (No green fee). Upon checking in, you will be asked to provide your club membership card. Please check the appropriate club websites for any changes to the scheduled days. Reciprocal Clubs The Club has several Reciprocal playing agreements in place with other Golf Clubs - check the website for the latest listing. 9 hole Golf Competitions The Club has three (3) sub-clubs offering 9 hole golf opportunities, Dad s Army (Mon to Fri from 6.00am), The Breakers (Mon: from 1.00pm and Fri: from 9.00am) and The Sundowners (Once per month on Friday afternoon includes a meal after the game). M e m b e r s h i p I n f o r m a t i o n P a c k a g e P a g e 8 Procedure for Applying for Membership Complete and return to the Club Office the attached Membership application form along with the prescribed fees (for pro-rata rates, refer to the Club Office). Upon receipt of the application and appropriate fees, you will be issued with a Membership card and you will be eligible to commence playing immediately. Your application will then be posted on the Clubhouse Notice Board for at least fourteen (14) days prior to the next Board Meeting (generally held on the 4 th Thursday of the month). Other Information Management of the Club The Club is managed by the Club Manager and Board of Directors consisting of nine (9) members. There are various sub-committees with specific duties such as Finance, Course, Match, House, etc., all with its own chairperson. Clubhouse and Office Hours The Club Office is open from Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.00pm and on most Saturdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm. The Clubhouse is open from 10.00am daily until late. Café / Restaurant Opening Hours The Café / Restaurant is open daily for lunch and open for dinners on Tuesdays through Friday nights. We have fully qualified chefs to cater for all your needs on a daily basis or to assist in planning your special event or function. Obtaining a Handicap If you have a current handicap from another club this can be transferred to us. If you do not have a handicap and wish to play in competitions, you will need to complete 3 full rounds of 18 holes, marked by a person with a current GA handicap. This may be done during social play or in competition playing times at our club (preferred) or at another club. Members Guests Members may invite guests to play at any time for social play only and also during competition play (they must have a GA handicap to play in competitions). The guest must play in the same group as the member and they will be afforded a reduced playing fee.
Computerised and Internet Bookings Members can book for competition play eight (8) days in advance via the Clubhouse Kiosk terminals (open from 3.50pm) or via the Club Website Members section (from 4.00pm) at www.bribiegolf.com.au.
