C Brown Builders Ltd New Zealand Sidecar Grand Prix Conditions of Entry Saturday 8 th December 2018 Closing date for entries: Wednesday 28 th November 2018 No late entries will be accepted The event will be run according to the rules & regulations of Speedway New Zealand (SNZ) Rule M4 All Riders must hold current SNZ Inc license (one day licenses are not acceptable) and all vehicles must comply with the current SNZ Rulebook and supplementary regulations. All visiting competitors must have a clearance from your contracted track to compete (please complete attached). A blanket release / clearance from tracks for their competitors will be accepted. Oreti Park Speedway reserves the right to issue temporary numbers to avoid duplication. It is a condition of entry that competing bikes arrive at vehicle checking displaying the number allocated to them and that the numbers comply with the rules of Speedway New Zealand Inc (no cardboard/paper numbers etc). Oreti Park Speedway reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation with officials if deemed necessary. Such changes will be notified at drivers briefing Sponsor transfers may be affixed to each bike. Technical Inspections please refer to rule book section E2-3 Noise level of 95dba will be enforced Smoking is prohibited in the pits and dummy grid areas at all times. Alcoholic beverages will not be consumed in the Pits until the end of the meeting. Phone entries will be accepted, but must be followed up with a completed entry within 7 days In the event that you have forwarded an entry form and you discover that you cannot attend, you must notify Oreti Park Speedway of your inability to honour this contract in advance. Failing to notify Oreti Park Speedway will see you referred to SNZ board of Directors. In the event of a rain out, the meeting will be run on Sunday December 8 th 2018. General Information Racing Format New Zealand Sidecar Grand Prix Exact format will depend on number of entries received but will consist of Qualifying heats, B final and A final. Heats format may be in 5 bike heats dependant on number of entries. Track Track size: Track surface: 408m in length, 15m on straights, 25m in corners Lime, crusher dust and sawdust Vehicle checking & Sign in Vehicle checking will be held at the track see Time Line above. Riders Briefing s Riders briefings will be held in the pits - refer to Time Line above. Helmet Colours Helmet colours are compulsory for all Championships and allocated titles. Practice All New Zealand Sidecar Grand Prix entrants will get an opportunity to practice. Practice will be 4 laps held in groups Refer to Time Line above. Grand Parade A grand parade will take place at 3.45 pm. This will be held without helmets; however anyone thought to be riding too fast or in a reckless fashion will be excluded from the meeting. This is a parade, not an extra practice or chance to try a start. Award Ceremony The prize giving will take place at the track immediately after the final results are confirmed. Admission to Venue: Rider & Swinger, plus 1 Pit Crew have free entry. The gate keepers will mark you off their list as you arrive.
