The committee is given broad discretion in its selections. Some factors to be considered are: county, league, district, and state recognition. An athlete s achievements following graduation will be considered. Induction 1. The initial number of inductees will be a maximum of (20). Thereafter, a maximum of (6) candidates will be inducted each year. 2. An appropriate award shall be given, with one going to the recipient, and one to the school to be displayed in the Hall of Fame case. 3. The Amanda-Clearcreek Athletic Department will assume the financial cost of the awards. 4. The time of the induction ceremony shall be set by the committee such that it shall be appropriate with the honor and dignity that goes with the induction. Securing Names/Information 1. The Athletic Director will be responsible for collecting and distributing information on prospective inductees. 2. A full report of prospective candidates, sports participated in, character references and pertinent information shall be provided to the committee members. 3. The committee shall review each candidate and select those they feel should be nominated into the Hall of Fame. 4. Names of the selected nominees shall be given to the entire committee for consideration and voting. 5. The nominees receiving the highest number of votes shall be inducted. 6. In the case of a tie, a vote of the whole committee shall be called and a new vote on the tie shall be taken and the candidate selected. 7. A name being nominated once will be kept in an active file and remain on the list for yearly consideration.

AMANDA-CLEARCREEK ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME The following criteria and procedures shall be observed in administering the Amanda-Clearcreek Athletic Hall of Fame Award. Kermit McCafferty Selection Committee The selection committee shall consist of community members and the Amanda- Clearcreek Administration, including the Superintendent, High School Principal, High School Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director. The maximum number of community members shall not exceed (8). The responsibility of the committee shall be the following: Secure names and appropriate information regarding those to be considered as candidates. Meet to review the candidates. Select those to be inducted into the Hall of Fame based on the criteria for eligibility. Establish timelines for securing nominations and the induction ceremony. Criteria for Eligibility The criteria for eligibility and selection to be considered as a candidate for induction into the Amanda-Clearcreek Athletic Hall of Fame shall be as follows: In order for an individual to be considered for induction they must have made a major contribution to an athletic program as an athlete, coach, administrator, or beneficiary of Amanda High School, Stoutsville High School or Amanda-Clearcreek High School. Championship teams will be considered for induction. An athlete must have graduated at least five years prior to consideration. All sports will be considered. All candidates must be of good character. The Dean of County Coaches Coached baseball, basketball and football at Stoutsville High School 1954-1960. Inaugurated a 6-man football team in the mid 1950 s. He was able to do this with donated funds, equipment and uniforms without a salary. Stoutsville had many championships during his coaching tenure. Coached at Amanda-Clearcreek from 1960-1965. Coached baseball in 1961 and 1962 finishing second to Liberty Union who won State Championships both years. Coached basketball from 1960-1965. The 1961-62 team won the Fairfield County Championship. *According to the March 19, 1965 Lancaster Eagle Gazette, Coach McCafferty s first 9 years of 11 coaching as a Varsity Basketball Coach recorded a record of 107 victories and 61 defeats. After his retirement, A-C needed a Junior Varsity Basketball Coach. Because of Coach McCafferty s love and dedication to A-C, he came out of retirement and coached for the next several years (1969-1972). Served as A-C Athletic Director from 1972-1974. Recipient of the Eagle-Gazette Orchid Award

Jerry Collins 1956 Graduate of Stoutsville High School Three-year letterman in Basketball; All-League 2 years, 1st Team All-League - Senior year. Averaged 28 points a game Senior year. Had school record for most points in a game with 38. Had 4 games of 30+ points Senior year (38, 37, 35 & 31) Original member of the first ever football team Senior year. Played 6-man football in the Pickaway County Football League earning All-League his Senior year. Scored the first ever touchdown for Stoutsville High School. Four-year letterman in Baseball - three-year starter at Shortstop, winning league championships in 1954 and 1955 including the tournament championships. High School Basketball Official for 44 years. Officiated many sectional, district and regional championships, including two OHSAA State Tournaments. Member of the football chain gang for over 50 years.
