Year Two Excursion to Werribee Zoo The Hilarious Rhino On the 12 th Of November the Year Twos were at Werribee Zoo. We were on a safari bus. We were going past an awesome looking Two Horned Rhino. I looked at the rhino amazed and then the baby rhino started chasing the bus. It was the baby, the cute little rhino verses the safari bus! We were going through the gate that would stop the rhino if we could make it through and..we won! We made it through without the rhino escaping! By Cameron H 2P

SEPEP Interviews Hi, my name is Tashi, I m the journalist, for Wattle Park Dunkers in the SEPEP program Mrs Downs is running. This program is for grade 5s and 6s only. I ll be interviewing several players today about their responsibilities of SEPEP and more. I hope you enjoy it. ESTELLE B (REFEREE): A couple of days ago I interviewed Estelle B. She plays representative basketball and really enjoys it. I will be talking about the last game which was on the 13 th of November. So, let s get started! Q1) Tashi: do you believe that you missed any fouls, double dribbles, or travels during the game? Estelle: I let some double dribbles go because there were many new players and I wanted to be friendly. Q2) Tashi: Did you practise especially for SEPEP? Estelle: No, I practise enough, I really think it s not necessary. ASTRID F: My second into is with Astrid F. Astrid loves basketball. She plays representative basketball with Estelle and in 2016 she wants to be a referee. She is the coach for Wattle Park Dunkers for SEPEP, but unfortunately, her team didn t make it to the finals. Here are some questions I prepared for her: Q1) Tashi: When the opposing team got the first goal how did you feel? Astrid: I was a bit disappointed but I still had faith in my team. Q2) Tashi: What was the most stressful experience during SEPEP? Astrid: Setting up, communicating with my team and making sure everything is organised. Q3) Tashi: Did you do any research about coaching? I didn t believe I had to, I think this because I always watch my coach and I think I am quite experienced as a coach. SIAN Z: Sian has a fear of basketballs and he is a beginner when it comes basketball. These are some questions I arranged for him: Q1) Tashi: How scared were you when you played your first game of SEPEP? Sian: I was extremely worried. As the game went on Sian caught the ball a few times and faced his fears. By the end of the game, he felt confident with basketball. Those were my interviews. Thankyou.

S.E.P.E.P S.E.P.E.P is a sport task that goes for 5 weeks. It s where grade 5/6 are in charge and are put into groups of seven, there are three groups. Each child is allocated a role and does that role when their team isn t in the game. Last year we did Basketball but this year we are doing Netball, and the group s names are Dat One Guy, Wattle Park Warriors and The Toucans. Today there was a S.E.P.E.P game, it was the Wattle Park Warriors versus the Toucan s, it was five to one and the Wattle Park Warriors won. The Toucans were determined to win but they would have to score five goals. So, at the start no one got any goals but at two minutes the Wattle Park Warriors got one goal. In the next part of the game the Toucans tried their hardest and got one goal while the Wattle Park Warriors scored a few more. Both teams did well, teamwork was high and it was a great game to watch. Jade B 6R S.E.P.E.P As the teams John Cena and Snazzy Superstars ran down the court you could see the sweat running down their faces. The first half is almost over, no one has scored, and it s anyone s game. Second half has started and it looks like it s even for both teams. 1 minute left, Ben R is running down the court, you can almost see the pressure in the air around him. He passes it back to his team mate Ben and he goes for the goal. He scores! It s a win for John Cena. Everyone was so sweaty it looked like they just got a bucket of water thrown on them. Sadly for the Snazzy Superstars team they lost! Hayley E 6ST
