Now is your chance to find out. In two weeks on Friday, February 26th, the school library will be open for all students and parents from 4:30-6:30 for reading and AR testing. Parents will be able to log into special parent AR accounts to take AR tests to see what the experience is like. (The students are afraid if their parents use their logins, it might lower their comprehension!) ReadQuest, formerly Read the Most Coast to Coast, is a one-day K12 event that brings students nationwide together to celebrate the power of reading for fun and discovery. The book fair is back March 7th-11th, during your child s library time. They will have an opportunity to preview the book fair the week of February 29th- March 4, also during their library time. The Healthier US School Challenge: Smarter Lunchroom (HUSSC:SL) announces 35 award winners from California, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, and Utah! Since the beginning of the HealthierUS School Challenge in 2004, awards have been given to schools in 50 States and the District of Columbia. As of January 28, 2016, there are 5,582 schools certified (3,797 Bronze, 1,171 Silver, 370 Gold, and 244 Gold Award of Distinction). Upward Sports League is here!! Register online today!! Town & Country Christian Church is entering its 6 th season of Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading. We want to invite your youth and adults to participate in our league this year. This is a great way for our churches to partner in a huge outreach to our community. While a church sponsors the league, the league is open to all children in the community PK 4-8 th Graders. Everyone Plays! We are looking for coaches for Flag Football and Cheer teams. As a coach, you must pass a criminal background check, commit to the Upward training and ideals, and commit to one practice night per week and one Saturday game per week. If you cannot commit to coaching, volunteers are needed as well in a few areas. As a flag football or cheerleading team member, you must commit to the Upward training. Commitment time for league is one practice night per week and one Saturday game per week. Flag Football & Cheerleading Registration begins: February 08, 2016 Cost: $80 for Flag Football, $80 for Cheerleading This cost includes the uniform and Football / Cheerleading Kit and Awards. The Upward League requires no fundraising or tryouts (Everyone Plays).
