Isenhour Tennis Center. Starting on Friday, Feb. 17 the Pack will take on No. 19 Kentucky, before battling at No. 34 Louisville on Sunday, Feb. 19. The Wildcats (2-1) are coming off of a loss against No. 12 Ohio State, while the Cardinals stand at 6-2. Louisville is currently riding the momentum of a three-match win streak after falling in back-to-back road bouts at No. 5 Mississippi (5-1) and No. 2 Georgia (7-0). NO. 49 IN ITA POLL: NC State is currently ranked No. 49 nationally in the latest Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Last season the Pack finished the year ranked No. 46 after starting the season at No. 75. This year NC State started the season at No. 45, which stands as the highest season opening position for the team since the ITA began preseason distinctions in the late 1980s. KENTUCKY TRIO: When the Pack takes on the Wildcats this Friday, the red and white will face three nationally ranked players on the courts. Freshman Bruno Agostinelli is currently No. 48 in the country, while seniors Alex Hume (No. 61) and Nate Emge (No. 83) have also emerged within the collegiate ranks. In doubles play, Emge and Hume combine to form the No. 40 duo in the land.
