My Roommate Watches TV All Night AND OTHER PROBLEMS WE HEAR It is possible that everything will fall into place and that no one will have any problems with anything, anyone or getting anyplace. However, this has never actually happened. It would be a first if it did. But just in case, remember, NOTHING is worth getting upset over. You re here to enjoy yourself and we want everything to run smoothly! If you got paired with someone to your disliking, just (please), go with the flow (GWTF). A round of golf doesn t last forever (we ve come close, but that s it.). GWTF when it comes to us pairing your roommate. We don t know all of the personalities of everyone but we hope that everyone will treat each other with kindness. Interacting with different personalities, although sometimes trying, can turn out to be a pleasant experience. We cannot make room changes. You can, however, GWTF and make a new friend. We re a singles organization for golfers and a golf organization for singles. Fun, fellowship and fairways will always define what we re about! So make the best of YOUR time with us, and if there s anything YOU can do to make someone else s time more enjoyable (like asking them to dance), please go for it! The reward comes back to you in countless ways. Earth s great treasures lie in human personalities. Making life fun for your friends will make life fun, and great, for you. The Ritz Carlton Hotel 808-669-6200 Pioneer Inn (Breakfast Monday) - 808-661-3636 Expeditions Ferry (takes us to Lana i on Monday) - 800-695-2624 Challenge at Manele (Monday s Golf Course) - 808-565-2222 Hard Rock Café (Dinner Monday) - 808-667-7400 Kapalua Bay Course (Wednesday s Golf) - 877-527-2582 Kapalua Golf Academy - 808-669-6500 Ruth s Chris (Wednesday s Dinner) - 808-874-8880 Kapalua Plantation Course (Friday s Golf) - 877-527-2582 Sansei s Restaurant (Dinner Friday) - 808-669-6286 Tom Alsop (Cell Phone) - 704-577-9481 National Headquarters Office - 704-889-4600

and welcome to ASGA s third adventure in Hawaii! Would you believe we re finally here? Can you believe how beautiful this place is? Can you believe you ll be here for the entire week? We had a tremendous response to this event. With virtual last minute notice, we all gathered our thoughts and said yes to coming to Hawaii. ASGA has matured over the years and as result of our reputation for putting on events with great value to our members, we got a very quick and positive response. I m happy you re here and I m happy you ll have an opportunity to meet ASGA members from many other chapters around the country. Please take some time reviewing this program. It s important that you be where you re suppose to be especially when we leave the property. We ve hired some motor coaches to take us places and because some people have rented cars, we re not certain you re suppose to be on them. These motor coaches will run according to our announced schedule! If you get lost going somewhere, we have a complete listing of phone numbers on the inside front page (to your left). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through my room or via cell phone (see previous page). Mahalo! - - Tom Alsop President and Founder American Singles Golf Association TM

READ THIS RIGHT AWAY! The hotel should have given you three (3) breakfast coupons. Did you get them? You ve been given seven nametags, please wear them at all of our events. Range balls are included at each event, everyday. Get to the courses early. On Monday, we ll shotgun at The Challenge. It s our busiest day, schedule-wise, because we head into Lahaina for breakfast, catch the boat over to Lana i, play golf, come back, drop clubs off onto the bus, walk down to the Hard Rock Café, have dinner, then take the bus back. If you miss the boat, the last one leaves at 6:45pm. On Wednesday and Friday, it s straight tee times, NOT a shotgun. Tee times are 10 minutes apart which should speed-up pace of play. The golf courses will probably be full every day. This is peak season at Kapalua. Please be patient but also keep up with the group in front of you. If more than a hole is open, your group may be asked to skip a hole. The Kapalua Golf Course has been instructed to keep your golf clubs on Wednesday night ready for play on Friday. If, however, you plan to play golf on the nongroup days, be sure to bring your clubs back to the hotel. On Friday, we play the Plantation Course. Those folks teeing off late (12:10pm) will need to hustle to get to the restaurant by 5:30pm. The restaurant (Sansei s) is within walking distance of the hotel. You re not required to clean-up. There will be prizes for closest to the pin winners for men and women on all par 3 s but no team competitions. Prizes will be given out throughout the week. Mulligans were not sold for this event so we ll give everyone ONE mulligan per day. Period. Exclamation point. Additional mulligans are $100.00 each and if you want one that bad, see Tom. You cannot use mulligans for the competitions on par 3 s. As always, we have more beautiful women than we have men, and we ve done our best to spread the men out. Our players this week comprise 61 women, 31 men. We cannot give out phone numbers or addresses of members attending this event, so if you want their number, just ask them, not us. The lounge off the main hotel lobby is probably where we ll be for the Super Bowl which starts at 1pm Hawaiian time (I think) on Sunday. Would you like to get your trip paid for? We ll be selling Super Bowl Squares for $25.00 each. This is a sheet that has 100 squares. Cash prizes: 1st Qtr: $250, Halftime, $500, 3rd Qtr: $250, Final score, $1500.00. If all squares are not sold, ASGA will buy-out the remaining squares to assure the $2500 prize. You don t have to be present to win but squares must be purchased before the game starts. Squares can be purchased starting at the cocktail party on Saturday night. Got a concern or problem? Try to locate Tom or call him on his cell phone: 704-577-9481.

10:50am SHOTGUN START AT THE CHALLENGE AT MANELE on the island of Lana i. No team competitions, just closest-to-pin competitions. Please be sitting on your cart at 10:35am. We must all finish by 3:45pm in order to get down to the dock area for the 4:30 ferry back to Lahaina. When the ferry lands at Lahaina, bring your clubs with you and load them onto the awaiting motor coach (or in your own car), then walk down to the Hard Rock Café for dinner at 5:45pm. The motor coach will take you back to the hotel at 8:00pm. 1 Tom Alsop Tricia Steege Ed Harper Gayla Moilanen 2 Bernie Connelly Florrie Redick Durward Fisher Christie Lynch 3 Wayne Crupi Sue Eliasberg John Hill Betty Winkler 4 Chuck Davis Betty Sandbeck Ron Hazellief Darlene Sonneveldt 5 Frank Hopler Kari Goldstein Robert Husk Jean Abelle 6 Ray Kalal Joanne Jacobs Joe Mallonee Fran Tracy 7 Don Breslow Trish Farrell Mike Wilsher Judith Wilsher 8 George Connell Barbara Hall Roger Wilson Mary Linden 9 Marc Melbo Lola Muller Barbara McNeill Cathy Schwarz 10 Bill Paxton Lynda Gilbertson Mary Cris Johnson Diane Jedlinski 11 Michael Daugherty Betty Hubbard Linda Adgent Micheline Shola 12 Frank Pianalto Kathi Brown Charlotte Arnold Karen Sims 13 Joe Distefano Rene Mealey Bev Jensen Kathy Sloan 14 Ken Ferguson Doris Addenbrook Cheryl Valenti Pam Loescher 15 Greg Schaeffer Jennifer Stroebel Tamara Pope Donna Newton 16 Jim Fitter Thelma Henry Bonnie Cochran Linda Claflin 17 Paul Gentile Carol Klafter Sally Curry Elisa Stahl 18 Sam Guerrini Kathleen Scanlon Jane Lippincott Betty Barco 19 Paul Ullrich Diane Krull Peggy McCarty Dorothy Nicholson 20 Ronald Harris Terry Ready Rosemary Fluehr Terri Woodman 21 Bob Wier Jean Hegarty Nancy Lowrey Charlotte Hunton 22 Wayne Helms Shannon Foster Michele Glowacki Gay Wiese 23 Richard Higginbotham JoAnn Scott Carol Freedman Connie Manchester DID YOU KNOW THAT TODAY IS BETTY HUBBARD S BIRTHDAY?
