Taxi We caution you to be aware when choosing a taxi (including at a taxi stand or stopping a taxi on the street), since despite a large number of taxis with honest rates, there is also a large number of drivers who charge obscene rates. Always check the price list on outside of the backseat window before sitting in. Know your rights: - You have the right to choose any taxi, including any taxi from a taxi stand. 3

- Taxi fares are set by individual taxi operators. There is no maximum limit on prices, so look out! - The passenger will pay for the trip according to the reading on the taxi meter. - The taxi driver is obligated to give a receipt from the taxi meter s printer (definitely always ask the taxi driver for a printout from the taxi meter at the end of the trip). - In case the taxi meter and printer are broken, or the driver refuses to give you a receipt for any other reason, the passenger has the right to refuse to pay. In case of problems, contact the police (112). We suggest downloading the Estonian mobile app Taxify (available also in English). The app shows taxies closest to you, along with their individual prices and quality rating. Choose the taxi you prefer and with just 2 clicks on your mobile phone, you can confirm your booking and see the driver approaching on the map. Read more at www.taxify.eu If you want to order your taxi by phone: Tallink Takso + 372 640 8921 (NB! Do not confuse Tallink Takso with Tallinn Takso, which we do not recommend to take under any circumstances) Tulika Takso +372 612 0000 Krooni Takso +372 638 1212 These taxi operators also accept card payments (Visa, Maestro, MasterCard). Average taxi fares between city centre, Kadriorg Stadium or airport range from 5-13 euros. About Kadriorg Stadium Opened in 1926 Area referred to as Green Meadow (Roheline Aas) Area: 7,62 ha Capacity: 4100-8000 IAAF certificate since 2006 (current certificate since 2011) Hosts 65-75 sports events annually, incl. 10-15 international events Home to three world records At the start of the 20 th century, when athletes were choosing the location for a competition and training field, their preference was the one and only Green Meadow. For merits in the Estonian War of Independence (1918-1920), then Prime Minister Konstantin Päts awarded the land in the Green Meadow to the athletes. With an agreement between the Estonian Sports Association and Estonian Singers Association, they decided to first found a singing ground, which would then be passed on to the athletes. At the VIII Estonian national song festival in the summer of 1923, more than 10,000 singers from 300 choirs performed here. After the song festival, the property was handed over to the athletes who quickly built it into a sports stadium. On June 13, 1926 Kadriorg Stadium was opened. Approximately 15,000 people came to witness this event. The stadium was initially built in wood and in 1938 it was renovated into concrete with a modern open roof. Since then Kadriorg Stadium has undergone several renovations, including one right before the European junior championships, in which the stadium was given a brand new coat. Among the updates is the world famous MONDO track. The total number of Olympic winners, world champions and world record makers who have competed at Kadriorg Stadium, reaches over 120 athletes. Kadriorg Stadium has also been home to the birth of three world records men and women s hammer throw (respectively 1986 and 2006) and women s long jump (1986). 8
