This Week s Positive Shout Outs Way to be the kind kids! Tis the Season The weather outside is turning frightful There is no fire side to keep your kids delightful during recess. Please make sure they are dressing appropriately. We do go outside unless it is under 20 degrees. If you are in need of a winter coat, gloves, or a hat please reach out to Miss Jacque or the office. Thank you all for your support in making sure our students can enjoy the winter weather without turning into a snowman. Winter Break NO SCHOOL December 22nd - January 6th. POLICE DOG FUN!! Axel and Officer Ward came to visit the classrooms that won the food drive challenge. Mrs. Nally, Mrs. Dworning, and Mrs. Mosnik s classes all did an amazing job bringing in food for our food bank and beat out the rest of the school for the opportunity to help name our new Eastlake Police dog! Students submitted names to the police department and the lucky name chose was Axel. Axel came to visit the students and brought them pizza for all of their efforts. The students enjoyed pizza, drinks, and had the opportunity to pet Axel and watch him show off some of his tricks. Looking for Activities? Are you interested in learning about community programs for youth? Are you looking for athletic leagues or scouting troops for your students? Information from approved organizations who host activities for Willoughby-Eastlake youth are now posted electronically. Paper flyers are no longer sent home with students. To access the flyers, visit the COMMUNITY link on the district and building website pages http:// www.weschools.org/communityactivities.aspx For specific information about the events, you need to contact the sponsoring organization. Flyers are updated periodically during the month so remember to visit often to check for new postings!. 3
